did you know they have baltos body stuffed at a museum in clevland how disgusting is that. dont you think that balto should have had a proper burial like every hero. i mean it just seems so disrespectfull to stuff his body and put him in a glass box for people to gawk at all day they should have made a grave that people could visit and pay respects.

Agreed. Oh, and most members know about it already. We already had a topic on it a while ago, but it never hurts for new members to see either, that need to know too, right

I don't know...Since it's a dog, it doesn't really shock me, but a burial could have been better.

Its not really that bad of a thing to get an animal stuffed as a hunter I like to stuff the animals I get out of respect for that creature. But for a pet like Balto well Its sorta a way to never let go I mean when you wanna see them again they'll always be there.

Just one way to remember them, what would be the difference if it was his ashes?

I never asked for stuffing any of the animals I had, the main reason being that it costs much money...But I think I couldn't bare seeing it whole day, dead...

It doesn't really bother me since he was a dog and he was already dead. They didn't kill him to stuff him, and right now I bet he doesn't really care either. The thing that bothers me are trophy hunters. I don't really care if the animal is already dead when they stuff it, but when you kill a perfectly good animal and stuff it that bothers me. I'm not referring to deer, elk, etc, but lions, bears, wolves, etc.

I dont like the trophy hunter that kill and animal and cut the head off then leave every thing else ther but but My Boat Docks There's alot of Deer so everu so often they have to thin the numbers by killing alot which to me is ok because without them doing that theyed starve to death.I think last year they killed 200to300 deer. But they tag the ones they dont want to kill

Yeah, see that's why I don't mind deer, elk, etc to be killed off at times since they do increase in numbers quickly. It's the killing of wolves, big cats, and other animals just for the fun of it, that I don't like.

I dont like the Killing of animals that dont reproduce as fast as other animals like Tigers. But I hate the North American Government for giving the money for wolf's to be killed (sort of like what they do in Austrelia with Dingos ) And even though they knew they posed no harm.
