Brands whose packaging and overall vibe you love, but products you don't, and vice versa?
For me:
Good packaging, bad products:
Fresh. Just their overall vibe is soo aesthetically pleasing to me and makes me feel like a classy lady. The packaging itself is super sturdy and some of the pots feel like actual ceramic. But the products have never done anything amazing for me beyond like generally being hydrating, and they're so overpriced for what they are.
Glow Recipe. Same as above. Whoever is doing their packaging just nailed it as far as the millennial instagrammable vibe. But mostly just a lot of added fragrance in the items themselves and no major differences.
Bad packaging, good products:
I LOVE pretty much everything from CeraVe I've tried but the packaging does seem very clinical and geriatric, which I guess does summarize the vibes of the brand as being all about efficacy, but I just think it could be classier without necessarily being more expensive.
LA Girl. Love a ton of their products but wow their branding just screams outdated cheap(as in cost) drugstore brand. I'd rather they just use a straight font for things than always trying to do some sort of excessive script.
This one is a sorta, but everytime I browse the Holo Taco selection I kind of roll my eyes. I like Cristine and I really love the polishes I've purchased, but I just kind of cringe thinking of recommending the brand to someone who doesn't watch her videos and them seeing products like "Banana Hacks" or "One Melon Followers." Some of the descriptions too, while clever inside jokes, to an outsider kind of sound like a manic person(writing this as someone who is bipolar) writing thinking that they're hilarious.
