PS3 is coming out this summer but might be delayed till september, the price is $899 or $999 with out tax the reason is because of the blue laser witch is in the PS3 and tones of hard drive space so for the versus between the Xbox 360 and PS3 i think PS3 is sooo going to win by far.
ps for all silent hill fans They are thinking about bringing out SH5 for PS3 instede of PS2 there still debating on it. I'll let you know ASAP!!!!

I've been seeing between $725 and $905 because of the Processor and disk Drive.

Yeah the processor and dick drive too but the huge thing is the blue laser, basicly with the blue laser you can fit i think it was like 10 or 15 dvd's on one CD and like ps2 and xbox it's like 1 or 2 i mean what a huge diffrence.
What I said is what i got told by the guy at EB but the blue laser i mean wow just think of how much more detail they can put in to games and how much longer they will be thats awesome.
ps I can't wait to see what RE5 is going to look like when it comes out for ps3.

I'd like to see how many people (<< = "game addicts") would pay that much money for a video game console: probably 1:10,000 would and might even be able to afford it- since most gamers buy their own games (not rip off their mothers like little children).
However, Sony's idea has already been established by other major companies: Panasonic, Apple, Systamax, etc. Problems with the blue-stream laser is that it overheats quite often if not properly ventilated (and I doubt the sleek design of the PS3 will be proper for intake and output of air.
As for the harddrive, it may be fine as long as it doesnt use the Tobisha hard disk for media storage. This problem ocurred with the Vaio and will probably reccur again if the same drive model is used (and probably will since Sony has been cheap over some of their newly-released electronics). As goes the processor: nothing special. Enough said.
In my opinion, I see that buying the PS3 will probably be a waste of money. (but I guess buying the XBOX 360 and Revolution are also a waste of money as well). If Sony wants to release overpriced marketing products (and I mean waaaaaay overpriced products- as the materials used in the PS3 are farily affordable.).
What exactly would you expect from Sony with games? Gran Turismo 5, a new Grand Theft Auto, an awesome new sports game that still plays like PS2 feel, etc?
Resident Evil 5 foretake may come out for the PS3, but will it be good like the others? Lets take some points out here... Resident Evil 4 was good, but what did it lack? Yes- zombies...of course who could forget those lovable brain-munching buddies? If Resident Evil 5 dont include something similar to the original Resident Evil series, where will it go next? They already covered enough new ideas- that revolved in Resident Evil 4.

Although I could buy 2 PS3s with the change I hold in my very hand, I doubt I would even buy one... CLV is right, who would want to buy something so pointless for a little under a grand? (other than the people that really want it I guess)

How could you even think such a thing? You'd be surprised at how many hardcore gamers are just itching to have their pockets feel a little lighter for the next generation of video gaming technology!!
