Ok, I've noticed a lot of request topics popping up so I'd like to make a little suggestion.
Make one sticky topic where artists who take requests can post what they will draw etc. Then instead of having the ones who want to request reply, just have them PM, e-mail, IM, etc the artist with their request, otherwise I think the fan art section is going to be overrun with requests.

Yes, I agree, it'd be alot more organized and that way all the topics where someone is showing art won't be sent to the bottom all the time just because a bunch of people have requested in the request topics. Did that make sense? Xp, oh well.

Made perfect sense to me. But how ARE we supposed to manage who's who and who's doing what, and such?

I don't know, how bout only people who are doing requests can post in it, though I'm pretty sure some people (who aren't doing requests) are going to disregard the policy and post anyway.

This is going to start a whole muffled web of requests and confusion. People will be bombarded with so many requests, they won't be able to sleep anymore.

What's going to happen is that Sally is going to say she's open for requests, John says he's open too. Now Polly wants a request done from Sally and another from John. Then Bob wants a pic from John. And Vicky wants Sally to do a pic, and to let everyone know she's open for requests as well.

You see? It starts a tangled web of requests and "okies, I'll do your request for you." If we're going to do this, there has to be some kind of organized way to let everyone know how many requests an artist is doing, how many (s)he FEELS like doing, and how many must be done before drawing the line.

Simple, don't do any requests at all, What do they get you anyway?

Oh and you forget.... Vicky suffers from narcolepsy and sends 4 requests every minute because her sleep deprived body cannot sort herself. That makes 240 requests per hour. and i unno a billion.... Xp

I, personally, don't take request. I don't request requests either. But there will always be artists out there who just want to draw for other. There will also be other people just want to constantly ask for new pictures of themselves done EVERYDAY!!

I will add a topic like this. I don't know if this will work fine or not, but let's just try.

ok, i think i understand what's going on here... (don't post requests as a topic, pm the artist or e-mail them or something...) this is just to say that i do take requests, but i'm asking that if you're gonna ask me, please wait a bit. i just got overloaded with them in my gallery, and it'll take me quite a while to get 'em all done. i enjoy doing them (if people appreciate it, it really annoys me when they ask you then they completely forget about it). so i don't mind people asking, please just wait a bit!!

*edit* sorry, i've decided that i no longer take requests. it takes up too much of the little free time i have. i will finish up all requests from before this, however. don't expect them for a while, though... f.y.i.-i do trades.
