white wolf = aniu?

m new and i dont know what u have disscsed yet but people i know keep fighting over who the white wolf in the first movie is and say that is is aniu from the second . first off both movies have different writers and artist if it was ment ti be aniu im sure they would have tryed alittle harder to make them look more alike

what i think is that the writer was useing symbolism and that the white wolf is symbolizing the wolf in balto witch he needs accnolige and accept if he wants to finish his journey succesfully

there probably both meant to be baltos arctic mum , its just in the first one different art was used.

The W.Wolf in Balto looks more male than Aniu does. I agree Mav, the spirit stuff killed WQ.

White Wolf is NOT Aniu!!! It's more like a inner wolf of Balto's soul. Or some spirit of hope and force. But it's not Balto's mom! Come on!

... im not rlly sure but i think that nearly at the end of wolf quest Balto was hearing that white wolf spirit (that by the way the voice is of a female) and then at the end of the convo between them i think Balto sees her and says "goodbye mom" well im not rlly sure.. i have to see it again though

Well, I am not sure where, but on a Balto fan page I saw that the writers were trying to use the white wolf to symbolize Aniu, but I personaly find that hard to belive. The symbolism is however we interpret it. Sure, the writer was trying to use the symbolism to symbolize a main idea, but we the fans and veiwers can also find other types of symbolism out of the same scene. So in a way, we are all right.

Yep, I agree, because he probably would have referred to her or something as Aniu if it was his mother, and in WQ he looks pretty surprised to see her, so I think the white wolf is just a spirit.
