Post subject: Hi im new u read my crazy adventure for finding the movi  Posted: Mon Feb 13, 2006 2:08 pm |

hi i live in canada, 15, and im very recently a fan of Balto. I remember i bought it in VHS and loved Balto when i was 7 but then we rearranged our house and i couldnt find it later. 8 years later, i had this huge craving like as if i was pregnant and nothing and i mean nothing was about to stop me from finding that video. But alas my search was in vain  . For i have looked everywhere for it my house, the bathroom, my sisters closet, my room, where we keep our cassettes, my aunts i basically looked everywhere. I even tried to buy it but no videostore had it only the Balto 2 and 3 but dammit i wanted Balto 1!!!!They have movies in the 70s but they dont have any 90s good ones like Balto . I was pissed.  . But then i finally found a store that had but i had to order and had to wait for a week for it!! You must think im crazy for going so much trouble for a movie but hey i had a craving( imagine me pregnant???) THen FINALLY after weeks of searching i finally got my movie! my sisters thought i was lame but hey who cares I GOT MY MOVIE!!!

Hi naomi, I'm new too and I live in Italy. Don't worry, the film is so good that your search isn't without reasons. Answering you, Balto was born in 1923, so in the first film he was 2 years old.

Hi, welcome to the forum.
I guess you mean by stores, you mean offline ones? I think ordering from an online store would be easier. Alot of places still have it in stock for very cheap. I just bought Balto 1 Region 2 recently for about £5.
I'm very glad you were able to get it though. I can understand going frantic for it if it seemed to be nowhere to be found!
You should check out the other 2 Balto films as well if you can, not as good as the original of course but still a bit of fun entertainment.
So I hope after all that you shoo-ed away Balto-naysayers, sat down somewhere comfortable, got out some tasty snacks and a drink, switched the lights down low, turned the volume up and pressed play on your nice new copy of Balto! If not, you should definitely do that!

Welcome to the forums! I'm glad you made such an effort for the first. Personally, I find it to be the best of the three. It's a classic (though way too underrecognized). The soundtrack is incredible too. Anyway,. enough rambling, I hope you enjoy the site!
