*Tabaqui is a Jungle Book character just like Baloo and Shere Khan.
*We never see Tabaqui is Disney's adaptation of the Jungle Book and Talespin has some Jungle Book characters in it like Baloo, Shere Khan and King Louie.
*Mad Dog and Tabaqui have very similar if not identical personalities.
*It could be possible that Mad Dog used to work for Shere Khan before he was fired for some incident and taken in by Don Karnage.
*Mad Dog could possibly be a pirate nickname for him with Tabaqui being his real name.

Like I said in the earlier post, I also thought the same if Tabaqui could be the Mad Dog himself, Don Karnage, or, like Fisherella contained in her comic series, both of them. Anyway, this is a good theory if not the headcanon.

Tabaqui is a snivelling, submissive wuss from what I've seen of him (Jungle Book Shonen Mowgli and DQ Entertainment CGI Jungle Book series). I seriously doubt someone as dominant as Karnage would be Tabaqui. The Tabaquis that I've seen match Mad Dog's personality better.

Maybe. Mad dog is more likely than Karnage. Karnage is the top dog and Tabaqui wasn't. Karny is a pretty boy and Tabaqui is never considered one.
