On February 1st all 3 Balto films will be heading to Netflix Instant, at least in the US. Considering Netflix usually has higher quality streaming than DVD releases (Prince of Egypt being a good example) I wonder which version of the film they will be using. If I'm not mistaken, the Laserdisc was a widescreen release, which all other US releases were fullscreen. A lot of views could also be noticeable to Universal, seeing as last year fans of the cartoon Young Justice were able to get a long canceled cartoon a third season from all the people streaming it. Maybe enough interest would garner a Blu ray release? I dunno, but anyone have any thoughts?

While I won't be watching the sequels, I haven't seen the first Balto move in a good while, so I might have to watch it again. Maybe it will get me back into drawing some fanart haha.

This is great news!  As for the whole Blu ray thing, I'd love for it to happen, but it seems highly unlikely. :/

I don't mind watching it again and again and again in the hopes of getting a blu ray out of it. I'm completely serious! It's my favourite movie of all time!

Same here. Maybe if there is enough interest they will at least release a Blu ray for the first Balto?

First one is honestly all I care about seeing come out on Blu Ray TBH. Quality over quantity.

Same here to be honest. lol The first one is good enough imo to be released. The other two films? Eh, not so much. lol Even though I like all three Balto movies.

As MykieThomas said, Balto is actually trending now on Netflix with five stars! This to me, is a wonderful thing! Maybe if it keeps up, it will make the popular on Netflix thing which I think we honestly need.
