I once made a statement about this before (this is normal according to Steet), but every once in awhile I'll get a message box asking me if I want to subscribe to a newsletter. My answer is always no, and I even have it checked off in my profile settings that I don't wish to subscribe to it. No one writes the newsletters anymore, so the feature is more of an annoyance than anything else at this point in time.

There are tons of issues around the sources that need fixing, this being one. Hopefully after Steet launches his game and has the free time again, he'll get around to the most needed first. I would imagine this would be incredibly annoying, though I don't have the problem myself for some reason.

The message box has popped up at least five more times since I've posted this rant. That usually doesn't happen to me after I click on no.

I have my doubts when it comes to bugs being fixed. Unless it's a big issue, Steet has pretty much ignored bugs. And even before he started devolving his game, his presence around here was seriously lacking. Even now he's not around much.

I get the newsletter offer every single time I've completed a virus scan or have deleted my cookies and cache on my computer. It is incredibly annoying. Either it has to go, or steet has to figure out how to have the site register someone's choice permanently, once and for all.

Another related issue is the pop-up window which comes up, every time someone signs into Animation Source, asking that person (on every source they go to) to "enter the site". It should be obvious that, if I've gone to the source page, I DO want to enter the site!

Wow, that's odd. O_o The message box just pops up randomly on my end. But within the last 48rs, things have been quiet. lol That's probably because I said something about it.

Like the newsletter, I think the welcome screen is utterly pointless. If I want to educate myself about a film, I'll do it on my own time. Of course this only happens to me when I clear my cookies every now and again, but this feature is annoying by all means.
