When Louis Prima's widow sued Disney over her husband's voice did this cause Disney to cancel the show and stop make more episodes?

I'm sorry to disappoint, but the law suit had no impact on TaleSpin at all. The lawsuit was almost ten years after the production of TaleSpin and TaleSpin just ran its course. Most Disney animated television shows average around 65 episodes for syndication reasons, not because they were canceled. TaleSpin kicked of the Disney Afternoon, but it was never envisioned to go beyond that episode number. The whole point of the Disney Afternoon was to cycle through old and new shows, adding a new show every year.

Yes and no. First of all; the Prima Estate lawsuit did nothing to TaleSpin since Louie's voice has never been redubbed on Toon Disney nor on DVD. Now if a remake was in the works (keep dreaming); then there would probably be no Louie. I actually think Sally from Mach One Of The Gipper would be the replacement if a remake came to life. Louie might make it to the comics (I don't know how deep the lawsuit goes; I do know it applies to the voice.), but not to a televised version. TaleSpin did end at 65 episodes; however, since their toy sales were horrible, there was no incentive to make any more episodes even if the ratings are excellent. Considering that Disney was mocking Warner Brothers for being old and aged at this point, I can see where the money went. A shame really, but there you go.

If Louie won't appear in the Talespin reboot because of that old suing, I'd not watch it at all. The same would be with the lack of Karnage and his jolly crew of Air Pirates or Becky.

Yeah, the lawsuit was mainly about the mechanical rights of reproducing Louis Prima performance on VHS and DVD, since the contracts from the sixties did not include future media carriers. But concerning the 65 episode limit... merchandising sales did indeed not perform well, but the decision to not make more episodes was not a reflection from that. Future Disney Afternoon series were chosen even before TaleSpin aired. In the summer of 1990, the suits already were contemplating if the 1992 season would be Goof Troop and/or Quark Soup. Darkwing Duck was already locked into place for 1991.

What is Quark Soup? I know that Bonkers was picked as the one to replace Rescue Rangers in the DA lineup.

They were planning Muppet Babies to be a Disney Afternoon show too? Wow; will wonders never cease. By the way; I did notice the Heartford Hamsters logo in the Kickstarter there, that amused me too.

Quark Soup is one of the many ideas that were adapted from the Gremlins show that was at one point in development at DTA. There are a few Gremlins designs in that same Kickstarter image.
Heartford Hamsters, Hamster Hamlet, Heartford St. Hamsters, ... that show had so many names. ;)
