What date or year is Talespin set? It is supposedly set in 1933 before the WWII or the Great Depression hits?

I think Talespin is set in 1937 - before the WWII, but after the start of the Great Depression. The episode called "On A Wing And A Bear" depicts the energetic crisis made by Khan Industries, and the unemployment of the pilots after winning the race with Baloo by a robot can be associated with the Great Depression. But I wouldn't say Talespin must be historically correct, because this cartoon is for me the example of "baby dieselpunk".
