Hello and welcome to my introduction as a new member of Animation Source. I normally do not engage in web blogs or forums but after seeing a particular animated movie two days ago, well for some it may seem laughable but after watching the film and all the sequels I just could not stop and knowing me, this rarely happens. I am currently a college student studying to become a computer and electrical engineer so please do not mistake me for reacting in a childish manner because that is not how I react to these kinds of things. All of my life I loved and had a passion for drawing but because of how I grew up in this world I was discouraged from drawing but because I had almost no confidence in anything I did, I never really gave it a chance. All of this changed right after college, I remember always staring through the arts and crafts section of commercial shopping centers as a young child so It really never lost my interest even if I had my mind set on other plans especially in school. After my first semester of college having received the best grades that I have ever gotten in academics, I was ready for a short semester break (vacation), this is where I finally managed to notice my self-suppressed interest in drawing. I used a Windows RT tablet with Autodesk Sketchbook Express to draw digitally and with the help of some youtube tutorials of shape, contrast, tone, and other drawing methods, this experience helped me understand drawing so that I felt that I had control of transferring my drawing ideas from within me for others to see and understand. In reality there is a lot of thing I would like to share with you regarding my drawing experience but I think I should do so when I decide to write a personal related book about my experiences, but what happened with me and my drawing experiences is not the reason why I chose to introduce myself unto all of you the passionate members of Animation Source. Fast-forward two years still in college(third semester), while actively posting drawings on my personal social profiles there was the moment that I mentioned before about the film that revealed another hidden passion and especially the hunger(or the grit) that lead me to animation. This was really a surprise especially since I always knew the hard work that animators experience while animating, before I thought "how could you have the patience to draw hundreds of thousands of drawings when people like me and among many others could barely accomplish one without loosing interest and patience in their projects". Remember that I had only watched this film two days ago so I know that I need a lot to learn about animating, almost all day and all night without sleep I studied and downloaded traditional animating software that I used to practice animating, learning methods and the history behind it, even while typing this I am weary from all of the knowledge that I had gathered during these several days but knowing me I will do what must be done in order to become a great animator. I know from reading through the forums here that I am late in discussing such matters but I hope that the few who are still here with the passion of creating and bringing back amazing films from which a lot of us grew up with could help me with advice so it could raise me up in experience and in knowledge, and I know that I have written quite a lengthy introduction so I thank you for your patience.
