I know there is almost no chance of this happening but, what if a group of Balto fans started a Kickstarter to fund the next Balto movie?

There will never be a Balto 4... The Balto movies never did very well, so therefore Universal is not going to waste money on a project that will not make them a profit.

The better question is, why do Balto fans seem to think keeping the Balto movies going is a must? I'm still a Balto fan, but once a movie has too many squeals, it just gets ugly (i.e. The Land Before Time).

I'm sorry you feel that way. I believe the only reason Balto didn't make money was because it was put out at the same time as Toy Story.

Well yes that was the big reason why it wasn't very successful, but another reason is because it was not heavily promoted or advertised. Then when you add not so good reviews to the sequels, years of inactivity on anything dealing with the series, and a film studio that has released many highly successful movies you have a series that has pretty much run it's course and won't be brought back. There was a project by several members on here a few years ago to make their own Balto movie (it was a prequel of how Balto's parents met), but that has pretty much ended as well.

The point is that Balto is dead and will not be coming back at all.

Making a kickstarter would be a waste of time because even from those who would contribute, there wouldn't be enough money.

These topics are practically considered spam since they come up so much. Balto 4 will never happen. Frankly, it doesn't NEED sequels. Just interpret the story as you want, it's more fun that way anyway.
