hi my name is Kevin I am new at this posting I am big fan of Disney's TaleSpin & The Disney In The Afternoon

um I need some help finding a behind the scenes of the TaleSpin & Promos that aired in the 90s part of The Disney in the Afternoon.

um i was reading a article & it said they have a behind featurete
on how they made Disney TaleSpin & the pictures were taken from the orignial
The Plunder & Lighting Vhs.

I think the whole behind the scenes was on the Orignial Plunder & Lghting VHS Tape

if someone could find the whole behind the scenes footage on how they made talespin voiced the characters

Let me take some time to answer your post properly, but I can already tell that I've never heard about any "Plunder & Lightning VHS". Yet it's true there's a documentary somewhere...It'd be great to find it!

also I kinda interested in learning how I can make my own TaleSpin Cartoon
I would love to see Ed Gilbert Baloo Voice & the others voices come to life threw the microphone

I also am interested in learning how to make new episodes just for myself

cause nobody else in my family is interested but only me

can you help me out with this is there any special computer software out there I can download
or use to rendering & making a cartoon like TaleSpin just for myself ?

To begin with, can you draw? or make CGI models? This kind of thing takes years of learning.
And unfortunately, Ed Gilbert passed away years ago...

Anyway, maybe you'd be interested in following this TaleSpin fan video game project, that's probably the most ambitious TaleSpin fan project right now :

I do know that Laura Ann Trombley owns the entire VHS sets of the "Making Of TaleSpin"; but she refused to dub copies to TaleSpinners (even to me who would pay top dollar for something like that) on VHS. Otherwise; a video file of the documentary would have been released by now on Spinnerstuff.com.

There is no official Plunder and Lightning VHS tape. Laura dubbed copies of the Disney Channel airing of Plunder and Lightning onto VHS and gave it to fans via tape trading. Disney never released one and since Plunder and Lightning in it's syndication version is already on DVD; the DC version will always remain on the blacklist. A pity at that too.

@Kevin: I suggest you start with Flash animation first and then work your way up to Toon Boom. That'll allow you to practice animating stuff without bankrupting yourself.

I will keep searching around the internet maybe I will find something interesting

also just curious about Plunder & Lighting versions
I am talking about the comics version & the DC Version

I am sure there are more scenes to the Plunder & Lighting TV Movie
cause I was reading one of Tale Spin Plunder & Lighting comics
& saw some scenes that could not be in the uncut tv movie
anyway just a thought

There's is A LOT of Talespin stuff coming up in the next few weeks. The promo video, a few storyboards for short promos (of which I can't find the video ), An alternate theme song, comparisons between the Phil Harris and the Ed Gilbert recordings aaaaand...

...a full storyboard comparison video for the very first TaleSpin episode: I Only Have Ice For You!
(like the one on the blog that I did for the Gummi Bears pilot)

The disc with the book will contain a few more of those full episode storyboard comparisons, but those are exclusive for the campaign.
