Guys-
Disney has shut down the whole hand-drawn division, every hand-drawn animator was either fired or put in another division. Disney's latest 2D movies frankly did bad compared to Dreamworks, even Princess and the Frog disappointed. The next Disney film is Big Hero 6, and is CG. CGI films is what the average consumer of today wants. The most we might see from them is a movie down in the same way Paperman was-

^this.
Although I adore the traditional animation, animation companies are simply doing what they can to stay afloat. Despite the fact I see many people complaining about the fact that there is next to know 2D animated films any more, the majority now found CGI films more appealing, and probably, more modern and fitting with the technology these days. I honestly see no point in moping (as some on other sites seem to be doing *cough*tumblr*cough*) about the fact that there will most likely be no more traditionally animated films. Yes, they are lovely, yes I miss them, but if the story is fun and original and the characters are well thought out, I see no issue with CGI. I personally find CGI animation fascinating to watch, as the animators have so much skill making it look as realistic but also keeping the tone of their previous films.
So yeah..basically it is a shame, but frankly it was inevitable, and I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner.
