Wolf Lake:
Deep in the heart of Canada, there is a forested lake. Dotted with islands of all sizes and shapes, it is called Wolf Lake. Barely touched by the nosy hand of man, it is home to two wolf packs, living in harmony together. These two wolf packs live on two of the largest islands, swimming to the others and the mainland to find prey. They are excellent hunters and large, even for wolves. They stand tall and are broad shouldered and powerful, due to the large amount of swimming and the way they are raised. There is a pact between the packs, but tensions have been rising. The Moose pack occupies the swampier part of the lake, the eastern side where it flows into rivers and creeks. The Pike pack lives on the other half of the lake, home of deep water and rocky islands with towering pine trees. Within each pack, two litters are born to the alpha couples. From the Moose pack, a young brute is born with an alpha personality that makes his father proud. In the Pike pack, a young female is born, unusual in color and fierce at heart, she learns quickly, also making her parents proud. As the two near their third year birthdays, the girl goes exploring and finds herself lost in the Moose pack's territory, facing up to a huge bull moose, the boy finds her and together they take down the massive beast.

The Moose pack
The swamp pack live in the swampy part of the lake. The wolves who live there are strong and proud. They spend a lot of time swimming through muck and going through thick underbrush. They are called the Moose pack, because many moose live in their territory and in order for a young wolf to prove him/herself as a valuable member of the pack, they must track a moose and defeat it, bringing back some sort of proof.

The Pike pack
The pike pack live on a massive island in the middle of the lake. The nearest island is a mile or two away. This makes them extremely strong swimmers, being raised to swim long distances and not tire. They are called the pike pack because a young wolf must prove him/ herself by killing a Northern pike, which can be bigger than a wolf and bringing it back to the pack. Northern pike prey on wolves, so to find one can be easy, but the difficult part is not letting it drag a wolf underwater.

Personality:: Jasper has a knack for trouble and adventure. He is really sweet and loving when you get to know him but at first he may seem a little shy. He is very outspoken and has a very bright and bubbly personality, until you make him mad. Jasper does suffer from having a multiple personality. One moment he can be extremely sweet but the next minute he could be totally solitary. All he wants is a second chance, he really can't help his personality and that one little thing could set him off. His is usually even headed and mild-mannered.

Personality:: Trell is more strict and more alert than Jasper. He finds himself being more protective around his weaker friend but he is usually even headed. His temper is neither sour nor too sweet. He is mild-mannered with a good sense of self awareness. He doesn't have a jealous side and he doesn't envy anyone. He knows when and when not to get involved into something. He has a small soft spot for kids but he doesn't tolerate teenagers or childish adults. Trell hates the type of girls who only want to take and take from you, he has a big heart but nobody to give it to.

Aspen trotted through the underbrush. She'd been hunting for her pack and ventured further than she normally did. She was determined to find something, even though she was pretty sure she was in the Moose pack's territory. She needed to find something to bring home to her little nieces and nephews. Her sister had just had a litter and her mate had been unable to hunt today. She stayed at the swampy water's edge, to try and keep out of trouble.

Trell awoke to the morning breeze sweeping gently across his back. He lifted his head and yawned, looking around. It was a bit harder to wake up now adays since his best friend Jasper was in the other pack. He couldn't help but wonder about him. He couldn't hep but try and think of all the things that could possibly go wrong. He was fearing for his friend and he wanted to see him sometime. Meanwhile in the other pack, Jasper was doing the same thing. Waking up with thoughts already on his mind.

Aspen narrowed her sharp blue eyes in determination. The sun was rising and she'd been out all night. She was starting to feel the weight of the sleepless night in her steps. She slowed her pace to concerve energy. Of she didn't find anything soon she would have to go back and she most certainly didn't want to.

Trell shook out his fur and began to walk to the lake. He was thirsty and he honestly was going to see if he could catch any fish like how his sister had shown him. He went to the water's edge and bent over, lapping up the icy water before taking a deep breath. He looked over his shoulder, now where could Aspen be? He thought, thinking about all the possible places his sister could have gone. He looked over at the water and watched to see if there was any fish swimming about. He focused, waiting.

Aspen sighed and decided going in the water wouldnt be so bad at all. She slipped into the shallow swamp water, slightly disgusted at the idea of the water being so mucky, she was used to swimming in the cool deep water of her territory. She beganto trek through it, searching for prey.

Trell looked over at the fish as they began swimming by, he readied his shoulders and prepared to pounce. He locked onto one fish and dove through the water. It was nothing but splashing and growling from there. Trell pulled up and had a mouthful of dirt and a stick. He spat, coughing up the dirt that he was almost about to swallow. He growled at himself and watched as the fish swam away with no more thought than when he had just been attacked.

As Aspen swam- well, more like waded- through the water, she wondered if she really was the the moose pack's territory. She wondered what was happen if she was found here. She knew there was a pact between the packs, but then again, they rarely went on each other's land and to do so was frowned upon, especially hunting, but she needed find something for her sister's new family.

Jasper walked around the lonely pack, looking for something to do. He went to the water's edge and looked over at a wolf in the water(Trell). His face perked up and he smiled, he tried yelling his friend's name. Trell heard his name being called and turned around, he looked over at the ground and then directly at Jasper. He raised his paw and waved at him, smiling at his friend.

Aspen got excited when she saw several fish and she started to splash around in an attempt to drove them into a small pool not far ahead. Unfortunately, her splashing did what it was supposed to, but stirred a bull moose, who had been feeding quietly not far away. He turned his head in annoyance, and seeing that it was a wolf got defensive and angry.
