Inroduction

This idea has always interested me ever since watching Flight 29 Down on Discovery Kids when I was a child. (Most of you probably have no clue what I'm talking about, which makes me feel so old...) Anyways, I hope to see some people joining this because the rp forums have been dead lately. I'm feeling lonely here by myself.

Plot

During a visit to a tropical island known for its isolation and only having visitors from the cruise ship once a year, a group of teens sign up for a self-guided hike along the forest path. Unfortunately, they take a few wrong turns and end up on a two hour long journey through the forest. While they are still out in the trees, the ship gathers everyone inside and leaves on schedule. With their parents assuming they are already on the ship, the group of young adults are left behind.

After the panic subsides, the group realizes things could be worse. They still have most of their belongings, lodges with beds to sleep in, and some frozen food in the kitchens. Despite not having an phone service, the group decides it can't take to long for their parents to realize they are missing and come back for them. A day, maybe two. They decide to enjoy they time of freedom instead of worry. But when two days turns to four which turns into a week, they begin to wonder what is taking so long. As food and patience runs low and tension and emotions rise, will these group be able to keep it together long enough for authorities to find them?

Rules

2. Only * cussing and light romance and violence.
3. Remember that they are on a deserted island. While they have food, water, clothing, and beds, they do not have phone service, internet, and anything like that.
4. Stick to the main story and interact with other people's characters as often as you can. Be creative, not random!

Personality: To put it lightly, Nessa is independant. She hates someone trying to take care of her and would rather do the protecting than being protected. She is stubborn and refuses to ever admit she is wrong even if it is rather obvious. She definitely has a firey personality and isn't afraid of the hard, brutal truth, no matter who it hurts. She is a natural rebel and won't let anyone or anything contain her, especailly a boyfriend. Even though she tends to be quite a presence in the room, she turns away from any male attention. She has her perfect guy picked out already in her mind and although she has yet to find this perfect blonde, blue-eyed, polite gentleman who is sure to sweep her off her feet, she will not waste any of her time on these immaturem egotistical high school kids. In a word, she is the most hard to get girl you will ever find. Even though she is searching for that knight is shining armor, she hates every guy who tries this tactic on her. Her friends have tried to point this out, but Nessa obviously won't admit that she is searching for the wrong type of guy for her. While searching for true love, Nessa does take care of herself. Whether in a physical or verbal fight, Nessa will use any slick move or cheat to win. She is highly competitive and also very fit, so she isn't used to losing. Emotionally, Nessa isn't the most stable girl in the world. She rolls her eyes at touchy-feely moments and gags heart-to-hearts. She does have a very lost and lonely soul, though, that desperately needs someone to talk to, but Nessa just won't open up to anyone.

History: Her parents, Johnny Moore and Lera Wilder, had Nessa when they were just getting out of highschool. Lera put off a year of college to birth Nessa and take care of her during the first few months, and Johnny and her shared an apartment while he went to school. Unfortunately, their relationship went down hill and Lera had moved in with her parents before Nessa was even a month old. After that, it seemed that Lera had gained full custody, though her parents mostly took care of Nessa while she went to school. When Nessa was six, though, and after Lera had just moved out of her house and in with her new boyfriend, Johnny came back into the picture. He had a wife and a baby already on the way and he wanted Nessa to be part of his family. The next two years were filled with custody battles until Johnny and Lera finally gave up on full custody either way and split their time with Nessa. Over her next few years, Nessa was pressured by her father to change her last name to Moore while her mother, newly married, wanted to change her name to Cooke. Nessa refused either and stuck with the name she has always gone by: Wilder Nessa tries hard to not be part of either of her messed up families and just be her.

Personality: Sophie has a sweet and tender heart that does not enjoy bringing harm to anyone, not even those who deserve it. She is the one who will keep giving out chances even if she is let down each and every time. She tends to be a bit of a people pleaser and will do anything she can to keep her friends (or just a stranger) as happy as they can be. She is known to give out false hope and always tells someone they are right. She would rather simply agree than risk an argument. She is not the most courageous soul, and even though she woud never leave a friend behind, she would not be the first to protect them. She is rather self conscious about, well, everything and beams at even the smallest compliment. She also has a horrible habit of becoming giggly and clumsy when a cute boy comes around.

History: Sophie is the youngest of four siblings and while they all easily found their niche in the world, Sophie always felt like she was left behind, stumbling around with no direction. Although she isn't a bad daughter, she often feels lots of pressure from her parents to be like her older siblings and do as well as they do. She doesn't receive many compliments at home which is why she doesn't think very much about herself.

Personality: Cale is almost always chill and hardly ever looses his cool. He likes to makes others smile, especailly his friends. His smirk never leaves his face unless the situation is very, very serious. Cale is also a huge flirt and likes messing with the girls. Although he is always relaxed, Cale cares a lot about his friends and would give up his life for any of them. Others are often faced with his big puppy-dog eyes when he begs them to do something, and he is hard to resist when he wants to be.

History: Cale's parents have always had a very relaxed discipline and never showed him much authority. Although he got into some trouble in school since he never really saw the point in listening to rules, he's never been rebellious or a "bad boy."
Crush: starts out with a friendly, flirty thing for Kirby but slowly begins to sort out his feelings for Marley, who he doesn't get along with at first
