We all know they are fond of each other and Kit sees her as a "Mother" figure as much as he sees Baloo as a "Father" figure but the affection is oftern not shown or held back.

My theory is that they feel constricted by the fact she is his boss first and formost and they feel that gets in the way of anything other then being friendly with each other, oftern I bet they'd want too just be the same way he is with Baloo but fee tied down by "rank".

I know they let their guard down now and then, P&L, Save The Tiger and Last Horizon but it's rare and fleeting.

I bet Kit would love too greet her every day with a hug and call her "Mama Bear", it'll be cute!
