No, Balto's days are over. Universal has moved on, and I doubt that even a 50th anniversary would bring out merchandise. Or even the film for that matter. They aren't going to waste money in producing merchandise for a film that won't make them a profit.
But may I ask you a question? You seem to have an obsession with movie merchandise, and you seem to bring it up alot. Why is merchandise so important to you? I'm not trying to be mean, just curious.

I understand where you are coming from - everyone is different of course but for me I loved the movie so much that I wanted to be able to hold part of it in my hand. When I discovered that you could buy something related or even a part of the movie itself I just couldn't resist - the rest as they asy is history. Where abouts in the world are you TLKGIRL?

( it was a gift ) , and my sitting balto plush that i was extermilly lucky to get in a good condtion for only 55 bucks ! and i almost lost the bidding. good thing for mothers. Does amassing these things really make a difference? Does continuing as a fan necessitate having little figurines from fast-food kiddie meals or brief marketing periods back in 1995 or so? No offense, but really. What is this strange penchant fans have for apparently NEEDING (and salivating) over such things? How does any of that really make being a fan any better than just plain old being a fan of the movies? I just don't get it...

Can't see it. There's already been a topic like this, just as a heads up TLKGIRL. A lot of members really wish there were more Balto merchandise/movies, I know I wish they would have at least made a 4th film, but the answer lies here: Mightybalto1925 wrote: No, Balto's days are over. So have a lot of people, and Balto is pretty much history.

It's really sad how some just can't accept what was produced and move on.

To answer the topic's questions... no. But only because I know Balto 4 will never happen. Nor will a TV show. So what reason would there be to make more merch? I see none. I really wanted to pipe in an opinion about merchandise collecting really. (If I read JC's curiosity right anyway.) JerseyCaptain wrote: Does amassing these things really make a difference? No offense, but really. What is this strange penchant fans have for apparently NEEDING (and salivating) over such things? How does any of that really make being a fan any better than just plain old being a fan of the movies? I just don't get it... As a fellow fan who collects merch (mine lies in Hulk from Avengers collecting), I take no offense. I don't know if I can speak for all, but I just like having something solid to hang on too. When you have merch of a certain fandom you also represent it. People see Balto on your wall or t-shirt and they ask about it, maybe spark an interest, check it out, and boom. Another fan is born. You want that fandom to be popular and more liked so you not only have other fans to talk to, but also rise hopes that more will come from that fandom. Be it a sequel or a TV show or whatever. (I also use the excuse of 'artistic needs' where I use figures for drawing references but that's honestly only half true.) Also the merch of the fandom I collect makes me happy, and to see it around my room keeps me in a state of contentment. Buying or achieving a new item for my collection gives me a sense of pride and victory that's difficult to describe. Though I'm really too old for collecting figures and sticker books, I regret nothing. Having these things doesn't make me feel like I'm the "ultimate fan", or any better than any other fan who just appreciates the movies. I'm just having fun like any other fan. Be they a fellow collector or just a fan of the movie. And in all honesty it's really a bit of a hobby. Like one who collects stamps. I collect other things as well. Such as (along with Hulk and select other fandom merch,) animal skulls, sauropod models, and cicada skins. It's just something fun to do that doesn't really mean anything to anyone else, but it means a lot to me to have them.

Now maybe you can explain to me about those types of fans who collect merchandise, keep it in the original packaging, and then hold onto it forever. I expect the "it'll become collectible and be worth tons of money someday, so they can resell it at an amazing profit" response...however, many of these cornballs never actually DO resell them. They just display them like some sort of disturbing trophies. Especially adults who collect children's toys. Taking toys out of the hands of children so they can wallow in some inability to move past their own childhood. And don't even get me STARTED on adult men (or even teenaged guys) who collect pony merchandise. ROFLMAO
