(Not to be confused with Legend of the Guardians..>.>)

I just...needed to make a topic for this so I could discuss it with others 8D Rise of the Guardians is Dreamworks' newest animated feature released November 2012. It tells the tale of the Guardians of childhood, based off the books by William Joyce.

To me, this movie was pretty much perfect. In every way. I've never felt so completely moved and excited by a film before, which may sound sad, as I know a lot of people didn't like it as much, but I came out of that cinema shaking. It was incredible. The characters, the animation, the soundtrack, and general storyline, all beautifully though out. Don't even get me started on the animation! Fellow lovers of wonderfully done animation, this is a film you need to see. I was so excited by the huge range of facial expressions and beautiful details.

The only thing negative I can say is that it may have been a little rushed story-line wise. I think it could have benefited from being a little longer to focus more in depth on the other characters besides Jack, maybe as little as 15 minutes?

But other than that, it's just fantastic :'3
Sorry...I got a little carried away. What can I say, movies are a passion of mine?..Eheh.

What were your thoughts on it? c:

The animation was great, but there honestly wasn't much else that I really liked. It was definitely an interesting plot, but it seemed weak IMO.
I do agree with you on it being a little rushed, and that's one of the weaknesses.
Overall it was an okay movie. Okay.
Needless to say I don't get why people are obsessing over it, but I have nothing against that.

It's definitely one of those films that some people love, and some just don't. It doesn't seem to have a particular audience that likes it either...it seems to be random. I've heard some kids that didn't like it much, but then some adults who adored it.

It also got very mixed reviews. One review I saw compared it to Avatar visually, then another called it forgettable. It's very strange really xD I guess it just depends on taste.

As for the obsessing, I'm the same with other things. I adore RotG, so I understand the obsessing. I don't like things like MLP or Star Wars (any fans, don't take offence, it's just not my thing ^-^), so I don't get the obsessing over those.

^^Hmm good point I suppose. I was among the millions of star wars fans who lamented when Disney bought it. The thing for me is, most often I try to decide for myself, but when I see crazy fan obsessions it kind of turns me off to something, even when I've already seen the movie. Suppose I'm weird or just stubborn that way. I actually have yet to see this movie, BUT DreamWorks animation has pleased me way more than Disney these past 5 years or so, therefore I'm definitely willing to give it a shot, besides, the trailer looked pretty cool haha.
