Cool idea! It's never occured to me before, but it actually makes sense now that you mention it.

Aniu and the White Wolf are the same, if you haven't noticed everything in the sequels are messed up on designs/character personalities/animation etc. It is true that Phil Weinstein says that, but apparently the orginal movie's writers did not intend the White Wolf to be Balto's mother. There was an interesting discussion about this not too long ago: http://www.animationsource.org/board/a-little-thought-on-the-colour-of-aniu-t35012.html

The White Wolf from the first movie is only that. A white wolf. I could be wrong, but this mysterious white wolf does not connect to Balto's family in any way. And this "Blizzard" character is not official either. This "Blizzard" is only this user's fan character. What also debunks that fact is that I'm sure that Universal has no back story of Balto's life, so that reverts back to what I said above. The White Wolf is just that, a wolf. There is also the fact that we don't know the gender of the white wolf. A lot of people portray her as female, and that's fine, but just because she's white, and that Aniu was female, doesn't make the White Wolf female.
And what is the point of this topic? All you're doing is posting your opinion on what you think is Aniu's grandmother.

Not that that was the intent of the designers, but in my opinion,I think that the white wolf is Balto's grandmother.Just as my fan character. My own little fan-canon,if you know what I mean.Just like my "Ralph, part wolf" and "Nava Balto's grandfather" topic. While it may not be true,I prefer it this way. After all, some people call the white wolf Kemo,Balto's cousin.I like to think of it as Balto's grandmother.

I think there's been a little confusion as to what the OP was actually trying to say/ask. When I read the post, I just naturally assumed it was a fanfic idea and nothing more. I can see why some people may have thought otherwise though; the original post was rather ambiguous.
Had this topic been posted in the Fan Fiction section (and maybe worded a little better) I think this confusion could have been avoided.

The OP is asserting that she believes that the identity of the official white wolf character from the first Balto movie is that of a very UNofficial fan character, which would have been created several years after the official character itself was created for the movie. Perhaps she should have posted it in the fan fiction board...but she'd still have to change the wording of her original post...because there is nothing at all in it to infer that she's referring to a fan fiction or suggesting ideas for a new one.

How creative. You named her blizzard after the scene she appears in. I wish I had thought of that. anyway, like troll said, Aniu and the white is the same character.

The white wolf is just a white wolf. Merly a "Representation" of balto's wolf heritage, and nothing more than that. I don't even think the White wolf was even a actual wolf. More like a ghost or something that balto's inner self could only see...if that makes any sense whatso ever. Hard to explain but you get my point...I hope. Theres seriously no need for all these different topics too by the way. I see your new and all, its really a waste of space to be making numerous topics like this over and over. Not to be mean or anything, just saying.
