Well, the 2013 inductees into the rock and roll hall of fame have just been revealed.

This year's inductees are RUSH, Heart, Albert King, Randy Newman, Public Enemy, and Donna Summer.

The acts that didn't get in were The Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Chic, Deep Purple, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Kraftwerk, The Marvelettes, The Meters, N.W.A. and Procol Harum.

To sum up my feelings about this year's inductees, I'll say this. *Deep breath* The fact that RUSH and Heart got in was awesome, but they deserved it much earlier! Joan Jett and the Blackhearts should have gotten in, Public Enemy and Donna Summer shouldn't even be nominees in the first place, and Deep Purple should have gotten into the hall A LONG time ago!!!

That's all I can really say at this point. Just goes to show that the Rock and Roll Hall of fame is a big joke!

^^ I disagree. I'm rather pleased that there can be names like Public Enemy, Grandmaster Flash, and Run DMC in there. They deserve the recognition in my opinion

But I do agree partly. I don't care so much about the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and 99% of the people in it. I'm guessing it's not so strict since it takes a lot of different influences. I am kinda happy Randy got in though.

Then they should be in a Hip Hop Hall of Fame or a Rap Hall of Fame. When there's a hall of fame that is supposed to honor one type of music, that type should be the only music accepted. If people want a hall of fame that honors all music, then there should be a music hall of fame.

I do think it's odd that some people get in and some don't. I'm just happy that a hip hop group can be accepted there. Aside from that a lot of hip hop groups back in the day took samples from rock n roll songs or had some of that influence (Run DMC version of "Walk this Way"), so -shrug- maybe that's how it works. Just my two cents. I do believe there should be some sort of Music Hall of Fame though.

I don't really care for N.W.A. they had maybe 1 or 2 songs I liked, but I wouldn't lobby for them to get in XD. I agree Public Enemy is pretty good ^^
