Ever since the release of Wings Of Change in 2004, the subject of Balto 4 came into play. That's fine and all, but now seven years later? I'm sorry, but that was some time ago now, and I'm sure in that time frame all that could be discussed about a Balto 4 has already been said.

I myself think these topics need to be banned. Not just because the topic has since lived out its life, but also because no one (the kids) can seem to have an intelligent conversation about it. These kids seem to have it graved in stone in their minds that they can make Balto 4 happen. No matter how many people tell them, they refuse to take in the facts. All you end up doing is going around in circles arguing with these kids.

I don't think they need to be banned, though I remember when people were younger on here and they thought they could make a Balto 4 happen. I know DrewTheWolf and Cat were making something close but it was something else. The terms "kids" being used alot is interesting to me, especially when the people calling others out are kids themselves.

It'd be easy to have a official Balto 4 topic and then delete all the others, and if you don't like the subject well you're not being forced to click on a title that reads "Balto 4." lol

Completely different matter, Kaizer. That was a project, and these members were mature about the matter and worked together to try and create a fan made movie. Unlike now they just go around acting like they're some hero that will save Balto from death.



Are you calling me a kid? I know there are opinions on this, but legally I am an adult, at least a young one.

These people get referred to as kids because they're kids. If they happen to not be, then I think they're rather immature for their age.

There used to be an "official Balto 4 topic", but it never ended up being enforced.

Oh I know, I made it and the new staff locked it. But they can unlock it and carry on the idea.

Never did mention your name. Many things people do can make someone consider them a kid or not varying from their attitude to their age.

I think that it should be unlocked, and this time it needs to be enforced.

I completely agree. If members could talk about Balto 4 maturely, it would be entirely different, but it has been proved time and time again that certain members cannot participate in a discussion if people disagree with them. I agree with the Balto 4 topic being unlocked and used again since I wouldn't want the entire topic to be banned in case some actual discussion about it comes around.

As for the difference of the young members THEN and the young members NOW, I think there is absolutely no comparison. When I was a newbie on this sight, there were, of course, a fair share of noobs (and I probably did some noobish things myself as all new members usually do when they are so young) but their actions were better contained than now. Older members would correct them on their behavior, mods would clean up any mess, and we would all move on with our day.

Anyways, thats geting off topic, but the Balto 4 discussion going on in those days was actually relavent and interesting with people coming up with various projects such as the fan-made movie. If I remember clearly, I'm pretty sure there was some sort of comic-book style project going on as well when I first joined.

To the point, the previous discussion of Balto 4 consisted of ideas for the plot of the story and what we would like to see brought back and thoughts on who would voice characters if their previous actors didn't come back. In other words, it was interesting and sprout conversation. The discussions nowadays is "I'm going to magically bring Balto back to life with my whining and complaining, and whoever tells me I can't reach this goal is a meanie!"

Please, oh, please, tell me you see a difference.

I'm all for unlocking the "official" topic as long as it's kept to mature discussion, but I feel the idea of Balto 4 should otherwise be banned. Those that can discuss it intelligently deserve to, but I see no point in continuing the noobishness of a lot of younger members.

I mean, I'm younger than probably 80% or more of the site's population, but I can still discuss things maturely. But people who cant' be mature about it need to be suppressed. It's like the sparkledog thing--it was discussed at length, and noobs only made it a pain in the butt.

This. Duplicate topics aren't allowed anyway, so if we just keep that topic up and enforced that would be much better than completely banning it. After all, it /is/ Balto-related. Better to have that on a Balto site than unrelated.

I think they should be banned. They bring norhing to Balto discussion and are often closed right away because of some little kid raging to make B4 happen. People just can't take the solid fact and keep fighting for somethig unreal. I don't mind something like "what would you do if you made new sequel", but all those "baww bawww I'm 12 and I'll make B4 happen" is getting boring...

Agreed. Totally. I am not sure I even see the reason to continuing some half-baked "official topic" thread. The subject has been bandied about ad nauseum for years now, and Universal clearly isn't chomping at the proverbial bit to accede to the wishes of the slowly-declining and increasingly-indifferent fan base.

I don't know why I agreed a few posts above, but the way I see it, it would be better off if the topic were to be banned. Having all opinions stuffed into one place sounds very dysfunctional. That, or it would just become a place where kids come in and spam and annoy everyone like they already are.
