Quote:
Lucy was born in Fairbanks, Alaska to a breeding female samoyed and a stray lab. The husky breeder that owned her mother was kind enough to keep the mix-breed pups and their father. Lucy's mother went back to breeder pure-breds, but Lucy and her two siblings had a great parents in their father. Lucy spent a lot of time playing with the pure-bred pups that were on sale…
However, it took Lucy a very long time to be adopted. Her mother's owner was struggling to keep more than one dog, but he didn't want to turn Lucy away. This was communicated to Lucy by her rather vocal mother. Feeling bad that she was being a burden, Lucy spent her growing days away from the house where she was born. She taught herself to find scraps in the town, and to forage in the woods nearby. Every night she would return to her home, not knowing if she would be fully welcome or not. She got to sleeping on the back porch, and soon, she stopped altogether, and made a temporary place for herself in the forest.
It was during her walks in town that she met a husky that was just a little older than her. The husky introduced herself as "Saba", and added rather proudly that "Balto" was her father. Lucy didn't have much an idea who that was, but she politely smiled and nodded.
After a bit of idle conversation, Saba asked her why she was out on the streets, and Lucy just gave a vague answer- "Oh, I just like it in town."
Saba insisted that a life on the streets for a "lady" and offered to let Lucy stay with her. Lucy seemed hesitant at first, but decided to take the offer, thanking Saba for her gratitude.
However as they were walking towards Saba's house, there was a great deal of commotion among the humans of the town.
Saba and Lucy asked around and found out that a human child was missing.Greatly concerned, Saba and Lucy set out to find her.
Catching the scent, it lead them to the forest. Saba was too afraid and weary to search there, but Lucy blazed forward, knowing that she had enough smarts to get around.
Lucy discovered the child, lost and scared. She gently nudged at the child and showed her towards the searching adults.
The people of the town, and the child's parents were very grateful to Lucy, and she was taken in by the family. The child was exuberant to be with her rescuer and provided a good home for Lucy. She was then renamed "Bo" (after little "Bo-peep) because of her cautious
herding of the child and her friends.
However, Bo did not forget her new friend, Saba, and often went to visit her..(because it seemed as if she didn't have very many friends)
The two spent a lot of time together, and eventually introduced themselves to Rogue, someone who they had seen around but hadn't interacted with. It was originally Bo's idea, because Saba disapproved of Rogue's mannerisms.
But Bo, being ever the peacemaker, managed to invite Rogue to hang out with them, and Rogue eventually warmed up to the two of them (albeit lukewarm..but still)
Several weeks later, Rogue was looking annoyed, and Bo asked her what was wrong.
"Her sister has a massive crush on my brother" put in Saba, and she giggled.
Rogue glared at Saba, but Bo was curious. She didn't know much about Saba's family life, save for her famous father, Saba almost never mentioned her siblings.
Bo managed to ask Rogue to point him out. When Rogue did so, Bo's heart fluttered. The male seem determined and hard working, and..
very handsome.
Bo had fallen in love with Kodi, lead dog of the mail team. Noticing the obvious interest, Saba formally introduced them.
Kodi and Bo got along real well at first. They talked a lot and became close friends.
Soon...they became something more.
The two of them quickly became an "item" without really saying anything, but it seemed to be very official as they almost always were spending their free time together.
Future: After getting officially together, Bo wants to have pups, however Kodi ends up being too busy with his sledding job. It eventually gets more important than anything else.
Bo had enough of it, and decided to let Kodi focus on that..since it put him in his element.
The two broke up, but remained friends.
Bo now lives in town, watching after the children as they play, and taking in pups who need a home.
Personality:
Quote:
Lucy is a sweet and kind dog who will go out of her way to help a stranger. She is very optimistic, and nothing seems to get her down. She is often energetic and hyper, but she doesn't rush into things. Because she lives on the streets, Lucy has learned to be very clever and slightly wise. She is also a loyal friend and a great advice-giver.
She tends to look past people's bad sides and try to find the good, thus she tends to be more lenient than she really should, but she still retains her quick wit and sense of humor.
She is very playful, and adores pups and children. Her life centers around playing with them, and helping them learn and grow up. (This earns her the title of "Nanny" xD)
Even though she spent most of her life as the local nanny-stray, she can be very family oriented, and forms extremely close bonds with anyone she trusts.
