About a week ago, I watched the Disney XD premiere of their new animated show, Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja. When I first heard of it, I became worried about the future of the ursine Cunningham clan from Talespin's possible spin-off show. In this cartoon, this particular Cunningham is not a Bear, but another human character in another outsourced Disney animated series (ie; Phineas & Ferb, Gravity Falls, any show with original characters created by one or two freelancers not connected to the Disney Universe). In my opinion, DXD should have incorporated Molly into the show instead and called it "Molly Cunningham: Danger Woman". Heck, it'll make for a great comic book, or at least a fanfic.

To be honest...I don't think most people working at Disney remember Talespin, and even if they did, it doesn't "suit" the kind of shows they aim to do.
I think the best we can do is hope for a comic book revival, because that's the only "realistic" thing that could happen for a brighter Talespin future...

What do you mean "suit" the kind of the shows they aim to do? I'll bet a lot of today's viewers who watched these shows on Toon Disney would recognize these characters. There should be more focus on the Disney Universe in their animated shows on Disney Channel, not just Disney Junior.

The last name is supposed to be a Scottish name which seems out of place for a ninja. And yes; there are real people in real life that use the Cunningham as a last name well before Magon considered the name for Rebecca and Molly. So I wouldn't bother sweating over Randy Cunningham and if he stole the name or not.

As for the show; it sounds like a cross between Kick Buttowski and Naruto. I only hope Randy is a lot more likable than Kick although that shouldn't be too hard for him to surpass Kick.

The problem is: is there room for another Disney character named Cunningham? If there's a human character name Randy Cunningham on one show, is it still possible to have another show with a main character name Cunningham, particularly Becky & Molly? I'm really trying to drive this concept to Disney.

I'm sure that everyone has heard of the ninja, but few people have studied this topic deeply enough to know who these people really are. These are warriors who carry out their mission under the cover of night and do it with maximum efficiency. Therefore, I want to recommend you a page where you can find out more information about these mysterious people Animation Movie. I am sure that here you will find a lot of interesting information for yourself and will be able to study this issue thoroughly.
