There's nothing to suggest he was adopted.

The design of Uru up in the character pages is a mostly-used fan interpretation since nobody really knows how she looks like. So fans usually make their own versions of designs, so that Mufasa and Taka would look more or less like their cubs. Ahadi's design up there is official, though people still make their own fan interpretations of the design, since I think the writers of the book didn't pay much attention to detail and made him look basically like Mufasa or Simba clone. So fans shape their own designs so that Ahadi would look like a father of both Mufasa and Taka. Also, the body builts not necessary have to be the same as their parents. It can differ. Or, like Roi Doberwolf said, they very well could've also inherited from grandparents.

Genetics don't really work like that. Most of us here on the sources like combining character's traits to show that they are the son/daughter of both of their parents, though suggesting that they be a "mix" of those two seems awfully misinformed. No one comes out looking like a "mix" of their parents, they develop exact traits from one and exact traits from the other, depending on the genes. Lion King may not be that complicated, but it's a simple fact. And as Roi said, they could have inherited some of their looks from their father.
It's a fictional movie, so it doesn't have to be entirely accurate. They can do whatever they want with their characters cause at the end of the day, they own them.

Actually, the writer of the book that featured Ahadi and mentioned Uru described Ahadi as a lion with a black mane and green eyes, but the illustrator didn't pay attention to that. So some people take the illustrator's version on Ahadi and design Uru to look more Scar-like, while others use the writer's version and give Uru a brown tail tuft and red eyes. Other relatives could indeed have something to do with it.
