I just got a little curious about things, as Sarafina was once my absolute favourite character. (Don't ask why)

I used to see a million pics and theories about Sarafina being in love with Taka/Scar, but lately, I've seen a decline in these theories o.O Actually, I've seen more and more of "Sarabi fancied Taka" instead XD Which do you support? Personally, I don't think either fancied Taka, I mean, Disney wouldn't have thought of anything like that, yet if I had to pick one, I'd pick Taka and Sarafina, simply because it seems to be less popular now o.o BUT only as little crushes until Sarafina saw a change in Taka as he became Scar and didn't want much more to do with him or something.

And who do you think her mate and Nala's father is? I've seen theories of Nala being Sarafina and Scar's child. I don't think Disney would ever do that, and it just doesn't fit in with my other TLK ideas, so I don't believe it, but it is an interesting what if idea. Does anyone here use that theory? And how? I'm curious XD
There's anoher theory that he's a rogue, though in real life it would be Mufasa.

And also, what do you think happened to her in SP? Some people say that the lioness who says "My, how you've grown" is Sarafina, but I don't think she looks anything like her. What do you think? I think she's either a random lioness with Sarafina's voice actress' voice, or the SP creators fitted Sarabi in, just not to create any plot holes, but used Sarafina's voice actress' voice because Sarabi's died, but the new SP creators didn't pay attention to her details. But then again, they'd put Sarafina in too, right? I don't know.

Last of all, where did we get Sarafina's name from? Was it written at the end credits, or did Disney officially state it at some point? There's the book series "The Lion King Six New Adventures" (Oh yeah, who hasn't heard of those? XD) which gives her name as Sarafina, but if that's the only place we got her name from, then wouldn't her name be as un-official to the movies as Kopa? Did her name appear in some other books too?

If you'd like to say anything more about her, please do! It'll be cool if anyone throws in some Mheetu theories too

Well, in a TLK book, it states "Simba ran to his mother and saw that his friend Nala and her mother, Sarafina were visiting from another pride" So I must presume that the father is the king of a different pride, for her to be of royalty and Simba's bethrothed.

Although I don't take all books as completely official to the movies, that theory is quite interesting

yeah i agree with lionsoulkopa with that, plus not only in the book is that said but if you remember that in the first movie Zazu said to Simba and Nala right before the " I can't wait to be king " song, that he stated " Oh just look at you two! Little seeds of romance blossoming in the savannah, your parents will be thrilled. What with you being betrothed and all." and simba said " Be-what? " and he said " Betrothed, Intended, Affianced. " and nala then said " Meaning?" and zazu said they were going to be married and then they were like yew and yuck and he explains that it's a tradition going back generations so yeah that actually fits the bill XD

Cool, and the idea of Nala coming from another pride with Sarafina to be betrothed is an interesting idea. Who knows, she could have been a princess in other lands too! XD

what i think is that nala's mother and father are sarafina and a rouge named Ni ive seen a picture of him his coat seems to look like nala's coat with faded brown spots and his mane looks middle brown and he looks aggressive.

i also think that mheetu (nalas little brother) was scar and sarafina's cub.

Yeah, I've heard about ScarxSarafina=Mheetu, but I've read the book where Ni came from, and he seemed to young to be Nala's dad (For a start, she and Kula thought he was cute xD) and he seemed to not know the Pridelands, but that's just me.

Sarafina's name was at the end credits, I think.

I actually do use that theory of TakaxSarafina, but it's a bit...off. In my theory, Sarafina is a princess from a far-away kingdom, which was attacked and destroyed by a group of lions who stayed together like a pride but were still rogues. Her mate, sister and father were lost in battle, and her sister's new daughter (Kula) was grabbed by Sarafina , who ran to protect her unborn baby. Her brother grabbed his sister's son, Chumvi, running by her order to keep the future king safe. (He comes with Chumvi many years later into the pridelands, and at one point goes back into their territory and rules, the Duke Chumvi by his side.)
Eventually, Sarafina ended up in the pridelands, where Taka fell head over tail for her. She and Taka eventually fell in love; and when she gives birth to Nala, Mheetu, and Tama he claims them as his own and plays the part of daddy. Sarafina never is able to give her body to another lion after her first mate's death, but Taka accepts that even after he becomes Scar, and she isn't in SP because during this story, she gives her life trying in vain to protect Scar from the hyenas after Simba defeats him.

She was never supposed to be in SP, but Sarabi was, but her voice actor died shortly before the film.

Interesting, I've never heard of the idea of Sarafina trying to save Scar from the hyenas!
