The Matrix revolutionized film and transformed the way movies are made. The plot centers around a man named Neo played by Keanu Reeves who feels that something is very off in the world he lives in. He comes to find out that the world is a computer simulated illusion meant to keep humanity in check. He learns that humanity has been at war with machines for over 100 years. The year he believes is 1999 but is actually closer to 2699, the Earth in reality covered in debris and nuclear fallout. Has anyone seen the Matrix and what did you think of it?

It had some basically interesting story concepts, and some very good special effects...I'll grant you that. And a good cast. Overall, however, I thought the whole thing was extraordinarily depressing, and that the story dragged on and strung me along only to leave me wishing there were some better and generally happier ending than what was unceremoniously dropped into my proverbial lap. I kept wanting my investment of time back. Still haven't gotten it.
