Plot: We're only here for a short time on this earth, so we might as well make the best of it! When a group of teens decide to go on a wild road trip across America, they'll find adventures around every corner. New people to meet, relationships, break ups, fun times, sad times, and much, much more! Will this be the trip of a life time? Or just a bad memory for the young teens. Time will tell, and fate will be unraveled.

Name: Tom "Sin" Cooper
Age: 17
Personality: Sin is a typical bad boy, head banging, guitar shredding teen with piercings included. He's usually very blunt and hot-headed, with a nasty temper and closed mind. He views all authority as bad and will flip around laws to make himself become the victim. He's rather clever but usually doesn't think things through. He often offends people with his sharp tongue and vile language and never feels any remorse for hurting someones feelings. He'd never opened up at anyone, and its a miracle he has any friends.

Expectation for the road trip: "I'm just bored with my parents man, I need an escape, and the drugs don't work:"

Name: Sydney "Sid" Tess
Age: 18
Personality: Usually very even tempered and cool minded, Sid has always been the quiet one. She never looks for trouble, but is always up for a good time. She's typically very nice and polite towards people she'd never met. And isn't one to normally fight back. People tend to like her because of her ability to listen to them. And she doesn't have a problem with listening to people, but she does have a problem with gossip. She won't stand for it, and will snap if needed.
History: Revealed with time
Expectation for the road trip: "I just hope my dad don't worry too much about me."

Name: Scott "Scotty" Ruine
Age: 18
Personality: Flirty, obnoxious, hot-headed. Thinks he's charming and could win over any girl. Loves being seen as a hero, he thinks girls dig that. Very lazy, he's always in need of motivation, he dislikes working and would rather sit and relax or sleep. When it comes down to it he can be quick on his feet, but that's only in life or death situations. Scotty is very good at taking credit (or blame) for things he didn't do. He's fairly quiet, and suprisingly thoughtful, he is tough, impatient, and isn't afraid to fight. He is brave, but has a lack of caution, acting on impulse instead of thinking things through, which has gotten him into trouble multiple times in the past. Honestly, he's actually a big softee, who's very sweet and thoughtful, and extremely protective over those he cares about.

Name: Martin "Marty" Matthews
Age: 18
Personality: Your basic stereotypical stoner. He's never all the way "here" and sometimes isn't anywhere at all. The things he says usually only make sense to him. He's always happy and very friendly but strange in his own ways. He thinks far outside the box and is usually a very fun guy to have around.
History: Unknown

Name: Katelyn "Katie/Kate" Burton
Age: 17
Personality: Level headed, a bit insecure, and calm so long as she isn't mad. According to Scotty she is too hyper and onoxious. But she's actually very calm and cool, when angered or challenged she can be firey and hard to handle, no one aims to make her mad.

Name: Madelyn "Maddy" ((Noooooot putting my last name cuz reasons))
Age: 15
Personality: The youngest of the group, Maddy is very childish and usually a bit of a trouble maker. She'll usually get herself into a lot of trouble simply because she is bored. She'd usually slightly shy towards people who are older than her, but will warm up eventually. She considers herself funny at times, and can act as the comical relief. She has slightly lower self esteem, but usually doesn't let her glum moods cloud her best interests. Maddy can change moods quickly, and has been told that she'd actually very emotional. She doesn't take well to people who are rude and has no problem with cursing them out.

Expectation for the trip: "Should be a lot of fun, can't wait to prank everyone"

"Could it get any ****ing hotter!" Sin griped as a trio of kids sat in the parking lot of a 7/11. They were waiting for the other 3 kids, Katy, Marty, and Scotty, to show with the car. The asphalt buzzed with heat, the air above it wavy and simmering. Sin huffed, crossing his arms over his chest, his green eyes scowling at the ground as he prepared to gripe some more. It was half past noon, and all ready the heat was skyrocketing into the 90's.

"Hush, they're coming. They'll be here soon." Syd assured him, patiently looking down the road. Her long blond hair swept casually in the wind, her legs crossed and her back straight. Sin scowled at her, then looked back at his feet, he was not a happy camper. Syd was just fine with the heat, she didn't mind it at all. But that was just her, happy as could be in an uncomfortable situation.

Maddy looked up at both of them, squinting against the heat and sun. She licked her lips and frowned a bit. Maybe she was mistaken, maybe she should've just gone home instead. She stood, stretching and looking down at both of them, sweat beaded all of their foreheads.
"I'm gonna go get a slushy, smoothy, soda, whatever. A drink of some sort, do you guys want anything?" She offered.

Sin snorted, handing her $5 and replying, "Yeah, I want a drink of some sort. Something with sugar that'll ruin my health." He then turned away and looked back at the parking lot.

"Syd?" Maddy asked, offering her a drink.

Syd handed her $3 and gave her a small smile, "I'll have a water." She said politely.

"Lame." Sin piped.

"Hush up." She said.

Maddy rolled her eyes and ventured into the cool store. The AC greeting her like an old friend.

Marty had his head happily out the window, enjoying the California heat and the wind as the cherry red hummer roared down the road.

"Marty! Get back, in here dumba**!" Katie scolded, grabbing the boy in the passanger seat's shirt and pulling him back, then rolling up his window.

Marty slumped down in the seat and looked at the redhead with the most pitiful face he could. "But-"

"-Don't you dare start."

He rolled his eyes and sighed "Okay, okay. So tell me Kate, who are these dudes, we're meeting again?"

"I've told you three times: they're just some friends.

"You get around don't cha'?" Marty grinned only to be ignored. In the backseat sat another boy, his head tilted back: shaggy black hair with blue highlighted bangs covering his eyes, which where closed.

"Scotty, you better not be an antisocial creep when we pick them up. They don't know you two." Katie sounded like a mother when she spoke to the two older boys.

Scotty only muttered something inaudible, groaning with dread when they pulled into the parking lot as he flipped his hair so he could see.

Maddy had returned with the drinks, she'd gotten Sin a slushy, extra large, with soda mixed in. He'd wanted something unhealthy, so she had done her very best. Sin nodded his approval and chugged the drink, while Syd politely sipped her water. Maddy sucked on a pop sickle, deciding that drinks were too boring and that Captain America pop sickles were cooler. Syd was the first to notice the car rolling into the parking lot, she smiled and stood up, brushing off her shorts and waving at the car. Maddy and Sin stood too, a bit begrudgingly.

"Glad they finally decided to show up." Sin grimaced, earning him and elbow to the rib cage from Syd.

"Hush up, there are two other people in the car besides Katie, I don't know who.." Syd began, she craned her neck, trying to see in the car as it came to a halt.

Maddy had never met anyone in the car, she was only coming along because Syd and Sin were two of her favorite people. She didn't even remember how she knew Sin or Syd, they were both older than her and didn't even go to the same school. But nevertheless they were friends and patiently awaited for their fellow travelers to come out of the car.

"Okay, me and Scotty will be patiently riding under some blankets in the back: you just get everyone in line." Marty stated, earning a smirk and nod of approval from Scotty. Marty then turned to climb in the back.

Katie grabbed him by a belt loop before he could escape. "You're both getting out, and explaining why you felt the need to hide in my car." they had hid in the back under some lugage and made themselves known when it was too late, she was already half way to the destination. "You better be lucky we are friends." she stated, releasing him and getting out of the car.

Marty landed with a huff in the backseat next to Scotty. He grinned and sighed "Show time, buddy!" with that he opened the door and kicked Scotty out with a startled yelp, before getting out himself, dusting off his jeans: then helping up Scotty, helping him to dust off as well.

Syd's smile grew when Katie got out of the car, she laughed once and walked up to her friend, wrapping her in a hug and smiling. She looked over her friend, beaming happiness.

"Katie! It's been so long!" She squeaked, unable to stop herself smiling.

Sin walked into the picture, thumbs hooking his pockets. He smiled a bit a Katie, but he didn't smile that often, so it didn't look right on his face.

"Hey Katie," He said casually.

Maddy stood behind both of them, looking at the 7/11 and being her typical awkward self. She wasn't that great at greeting people, it always made her feel awkward. She would over think it and end up saying something that embarrassed her. So she chose to remain quiet.

Syd located the two others and walked up to them to shake their hands, being a former ASB president, she knew how to meet and greet.

"I'm Syd," She beamed, shaking both boys hands then turning her attention back to Katie. Sin waved slightly to them, earning another elbow to the ribs.

"What'd I do?" He growled.

"Go say hi!" She stated.

"Ugh." Sin groaned, turning to see Maddy lost in her own imagination and snickering.

"Syd! It's so great to see you again!" Katie smiled she then noticed Sin and nodded "Hello-" she cut off when she noticed Syd talking to the boys who only shook her hand and smiled. "These are my friends, Marty and Scott." She replied.

"Sup." Marty smiled giving a little nod. Scotty just smiled and waved.

"Scotty, say hello." Katie snapped.

Scotty shook his head quickly. "Oh c'mon dude, they won't bite!" Marty teased, and after another glare from Katie. Scotty looked at his feet and sighed "Ello..." He greeted quietly, and with his accent.

Syd smiled at both of them, "It's a pleasure to meet you both." She said cheerfully. She elbowed Sin again and he glared at her harshly.

"This is Sin, he's the grumpy one." She said, messing up his un-jelled, blue mohawk. Sin ducked out of her reach, glaring again and looking at both Marty and Scott.

"Eh, hi." He said, indifferent. Syd looked back to see Maddy being unsocial. She grabbed the younger's arm and yanked her back.

"And this is the youngest, Maddy. She's only 15," Syd beamed, pinching Maddy's cheek. The younger girl growled and squirmed out of her grasp.

"h-..." She tried speaking, but her voice wasn't working.

"Come on, Mad Hatter, say hi." Sin encouraged, knowing she was rather shy.

"Uhhh...Hi..?" Maddy asked, she mentally whacked herself, who asked to say hello? Maddy sighed, abashed.

"Oh my gosh, a little kid!" Marty sqeaked happily at sight of Maddy, he wasn't totally aware of what was going on Scotty only held in a laugh at the group.
Katie rolled her eyes "Sorry Maddy, you'll have to excuse him: he's not all here."
"Hey that's offen- what was I talking about?" Marty quickly blinked and Scotty burst into laughter.

Syd smiled at Katie and the boys then looked at Maddy to see her smiling too. The younger was up for a good joke, and it hadn't hurt her feelings in any way. But Sin took offence.

"She's not little, she's probably more mature than both of you." He growled.

"Sin, shut up. It was a joke." Maddy said. Sin only frowned and quieted down.

Feeling the tension, Sydney piped up.

"How about we get going?" She offered, "It's getting rather hot." She said, trying to change the subject.
