Yes after four years of owning this game I must say this game is a flop. 5-Star ratings mostly went to the multiplayer modes and animation. I liked Pat Cashmans cameo appearance as the narrator and master hand, though I'm not sure he was capable of that menacing laugh Master Hand does. The game also had nice orchestral pieces, but thats the only pros I found out of this game.
The gameplay and setup werent thst great, and there were some programming errors. I'm about to trade this game in at Best Buy. So what do you think? Is it a flop in hopes the forth installment will be better?

Well, it wasn't a flop, but lemme say. Before that game came out, I was like... a hardcore addict to that game - I was obsessed with it. It's all I ever talked about, and my parents knew I loved it so much, my mother had my dad go and pick up the copy I preordered at Gamestop at... eleven or twelve o'clock at night? It might have even been one o'clock in the morning, but I digress. When I first got it, I was ecstatic, and I played it as early as six o'clock in the morning, and since I usually get up at nine or nine thirty nowadays... Yes. It was practically worshipped, as I played ten hours straight that day. o.o I even got a special reward in-game for keeping the Wii on for that long.
I fell in love with it, played it for weeks and weeks, eventually months and months. As time grew on, I realized all I had left to do was work once I cleared the Subspace Emissary. ...All of the "fun" bonuses and events the game has in store for you, turned out, not so fun. Especially winning Boss Battles on the hardest difficulty. I was proud of myself for doing it, sure, but... I only felt emptiness afterwards, and the amount of irritation I felt before completing it was a feeling no mortal man should be made to suffer. x_x
But yeah. Game is full of up's and down's. I was very disappointed in it, though, and the official trailers were very misleading. I wish there were more characters in it.

MH..I think this is in the wrong place xD It probably belongs in Video Games c:
(enter gamer-girl mode LOL) But, in my opinion, this game was definitely not a flop. I ADORE it. There's a massive selection of things i can do on it to entertain me, which is all a video game is for ;3
And i love that it has different difficulty levels against computer-played opponents. I've played SSB long enough to become pretty good at it (i beat just about everyone i play). So, when i need a good challenge i can always set the computer at a high level and duke it out with them xD I loved it when it came out and i still love it now.
The master hand was pretty kick-butt too. When i played story mode the first time (on normal) i was pretty surprised to find it was somewhat of a challenge. But nevertheless, once i beat it i just moved on to the other challenges i can do. And there's so many different ways to play (level difficulty, multiplayer, time limit/stock, story mode, free style, team, different fighters, ect.) it keeps me amused for quite some time.
All in all, I adore this game and i think it was anything but a flop xD

All in all, I adore this game and i think it was anything but a flop xD Isnt this the video game threaf? Anyway, I have gotten past The Subspace Emissary on Intense difficulty as well as classic with Mario, Yoshi, Pikachu, Zelda, King Dedede, Sonic, Kirby, Fox, and Wolf. I want to get all 35 accomplished. I havent gotten one cnaracter passed on All-Star mode, mainly because I havent lived past Ike and Marth without dying (and I dont continue). What Brawl lacks however is the originality of Adventure Mode. While TSE was somewhat creative, I missed the classic stages that made Super Smash Bros awesome, including Corneria, Underground Maze, and Mushroom Kingdom.

^This is the "Forum Games'' thread c: This is the thread you want ^^ video-games-f14.htmlIt lacks some old things from the N64 version which i would have LOVED to see in it, but i think it makes up for it with the new things it's brought in. Though i do think a few...more challenging characters could have been brought in, i'm glad they brought a lot of the classics ones back in.

Yeah like Sonic or Solid Snake (whom I thought was a Playstation character.)
