The Gold Rush is going on everyone is heading to the west to make there fortune in Gold. Three dogs are set on there destiny with their family by there side. Along the way each family had stopped in a general store in Kansas. As the families are about the leave again a twister comes into the valley of the town wiping out everything in there path. One of the dogs families has died from the tornado and the two other dogs family have flied from the scene as quickly as the could. This three dogs are now on there own in the Plains of Kansas. The dogs know where there owners are heading are they going to stick it out in Kansas of head for the Gold in hope to find their families. If they decided to go will they be able to conquer the plain and the mountains that lye ahead.

Bloom was hidden under a bunch of rubble that fell on top of her. As she tried to escape from the rubble her back paw was bounded down with a board that she couldn't get out of. All she could here were people screaming and the crackling of a fire near by.

Dusty was running back into town from the near by field that wasn't hit by the twister. He shocked by the amount of people that wear laying on the ground cover in blood. He ran towards the bakery wear his owner was at the time. As he saw the trailer was gone he knew he was left again.

"can anyone Hear me!!" Voltage yelled to other dogs to see if the would respond.

Dusty over heard someone yelling and ran over there. "Yea are you alright." He asked the dog who seemed to be a little light headed.

Bloom still could't get out. She started to howl for help hoping for a respond.

"yea, but i hear someone howling," Voltage ran to the source of the howl. "i can hear u just keep howling!" Voltage yelled to the dog that was howling as he searched.

Bloom kept howling after she heard a voice. "I am here. My back paw is stuck. HELP!" She said in a panic voice.

Dusty heard her and started towards a bunch of rubble that was near the jail. Then he started to dig threw it.

Voltage helped dig and saw her rear paw stuck and lifted the board up.

Bloom quickly got out from underneath the board and ran face to face with Dusty. "Oh Sorry!" She's said as she started to hobble again her back leg was twisted a little.

Dusty smiled "That's okay. It happens." He said.

"you ok?" Voltage asked Bloom.

Bloom looked up at him, she didn't real feel comfortable around to male dogs. "I think I am fine my back paw is twist and I can't seem to find my owners." She said.

"i cant find mine either" Voltage said scratching hsi neck where his dog tags clicked up against his badge on his collar. (Voltage is a police dog.)

Bloom felt like Volt was bragging about him being a police dog. "Well I think they might have ran because of the storm." She said as she caught a smell of jerky that was sitting out in a garbage.

Dusty also agreed because his family was no longer in sight.

"look we need to find our owners and get back to them, and plus i know you think im bragging about me being a police dog, but i didnt want to be it." Voltage said, "but after a while i started to like it and i put others first before me, so lets find you guys something to eat." Voltage said sniffing th ground and walking.
