You ride fast and hard, your horse's legs pumping furiously, rain pelting at your back. You ride up a giant stone bridge. Greeting you is a ancient stone castle, massive and dominating, lit by the flashes of lightning above. You can't take your eyes off it. You get to the top and a stable boy rushes out and takes your horse. You go to the door, knocking timidly. With a bow, the butler leads you inside, you shed your riding coat and walk deeper into the castle. Another man greets you.
"Welcome to the castle of Mages." he says, smiling. "How can I help you?"
"I am here to learn." you say, he nods.
"Another mind to learn. Another promising mage. Welcome young wizard."
You are taken to meet the other pupils, this will be your home until you graduate and become great. Don't fail us now.

In the grand world of Yry (Pronounced U-rr-ee) there are wizards and magic everywhere. From dragons, unicorns, and massive beast pets, to elves and fairies. It is a beautiful world. There is a school where only the most promising young mages go to learn. It is their job to keep the peace and rule over Yry.

Magic types:

Animal charm- can manipulate and change animals, 'slave', put to use. Animal charming is a gift with animals. Can also talk with animals

Necromancy- can bring back dead for use, talk to ghosts, and see things. Is a useful gift and is very powerful

Healing- can heal and mend. These mages tend to be very kind and sweet and care for others.

Combative- these mages grow up to be soldiers, they fight with their magic, either to protect the world or for entertainment. (magic can kill.)

Nature- can manipulate nature, from clouds to trees. Can create storms and make trees come to life. Can not manipulate animals. Can also make things grow.

Shape shifting: can turn into any creature they want. These wizards usually prefer to be a certain creature at all times

Delilah flew down the hall, in her jay form, she plummeted several feet to the ground and turned into a wolf. She trotted silently through the hall the students passed her like it was nothing bad or wrong. She grinned at one of the others who trotted past as a fox. She turned a corner into a empty hall. She turned into a human. "Hey bro." she said.

"Hey." Clastiff said, he was walking down the hall too. He walked next to his dragon Tallen, who was an icee blue with burning yellow eyes. 'it's getting crowded in here.' his dragon said, he laughed, "It's only because your getting bigger." Blade nodded, 'yes well, soon we'll be able to fly.' and Clastiff laughed, "yes, I can't wait." he said.

Magic skittered down the hall, eyes downcast, she bumped into several people and then wandered around a corner, running into her brother and sister. She backed away from Blade her brothers dragon and squeaked "hi." before walking down the hall.

Delilah had special permission, as a shape shifter to leave the grounds whenever she wanted. Just to wander as an animal. She changed into a bird again and flew out of the window out into the air, she loved the wind in her feathers, she settled on a branch, watching people in a village. She glided down in the woods and changed into a cat, slightly bigger then the average cat, it was white and very fuzzy, she thought better of it and turned into a dog.

Clastiff walked into his room, every wizard had their own room after first year. He sat on his bed, his dragon curled up in the corner, he decided to go out for a ride and walked to stables, "hello boy." he said to his big black charger. 'hello master.' the horse replied.

Magic walked into the healing rooms and started to work on the injured.

This seems extremely fun. I'd love to join. (:

Personality: Cunning and swift, Ricochet tends to let his sly side shine the most, although he wouldn't necessarily refer to himself as a show-off. He is a sneaky figure in the sense that he can get things done without being noticed, can wiggle his way out of tough situations with ease, and has learned the ways of sticking to the shadows as if his life depended on it - which, a lot of times, it usually does. He's quite for the most part, as he doesn't feel too much need to talk, but he does speak out if the need is felt.

Delilah trotted through the village and got out after several minutes, she changed into a horse and tossed her head, a boy spotted her and tried to catch her, which didn't exactly work, she bolted and changed into a bird when she was out of sight. She flew over the forest and landed, changing into a horse, she ran full speed, enjoying the freedom.

Ricochet, feeling more like a daredevil than usual, was just about to step foot within the castle before he noticed Delilah literally flying away from it. Knitting his eyebrows together for a split second, he gathered that she would be out for a short while. Wanting to join her but unsure of his own permissions (considering he was relatively new here), he decided to follow her path anyways, and he whinnied merrily as his equine self in less than another minute. He found himself speeding up from a trot to a canter to a gallop in about no time at all. Before he knew it, Rick had caught up to her. No sooner had he seen her transform into a horse like himself before he saw her flutter away as a jay once more. Putting on a determined expression, Ricochet pursued, laughing as he did so. This was quite fun. By the time he reached the forest's edge, he stopped momentarily to breathe in the fresh air. His blue eyes, the same as they were when he was human, searched around for Delilah in the hopes that she was some other creature besides a bird at the moment - that way it'd be easier to spot her.

Delilah ran as a horse, enjoying herself, she tossed her head and whinnied. She continued to change forms, not settling, enjoying the change and the animals she could become, she used horse, wolf, and jay the most, but tried some others. She grinned and stopped at a river, jumping in and turning into a fish, she swam, it was an interesting thing and she quickly jumped out, turning into a jay again.

Magic was shooed out and told to go out and have fun. She barely ever left the medical center and her teachers were worried about her. She sighed and walked out towards her brothers room. He wasn't there, so she went to the stable. "hey bro." she said.

Clastiff smiled "hey." he said.

"you wanna go and ride?" Magic said.

"really, you want to ride?" he said

"yeah..." she said

"okay let's go." he said and got her a horse.

They headed out together.

Ricochet, after having had his rest, gave up looking for Delilah. It was pointless to look for her when she was so hard to find, and besides that he was getting bored anyways. With a final whinny, he reared up on his hind legs, made a swift turn using the dirt underneath his hooves, and fled in the opposite direction. He cantered at a nice pace until he reached a soothing fountain, where he took a moment to get a drink. It was a few minutes later before he turned his chocolate brown neck up towards the beautiful sky, examining it and enjoying it's magnificence. With a small sigh, he realized that sooner or later he would have to return to the castle, and with a final sip of cool water, he began at a walk towards the place from whence he came.

Delilah decided it was time to head for home, she flew, gliding in the wind back to the castle, gliding through the window and settling on the ground, she turned into a wolf again and trotted down the hall. She spotted on of the newer shapies (what shapeshifters call themselves) she thought for a minute, ah that was right, his name was Ricochet. She shifted into a person. "Hey." she said.

Magic and Clastiff got back to the castle and went to their private teachers.

Ricochet turned his huge horse head to face Delilah, ironically the person whom he'd been chasing earlier. He shape shifted into his human self and responded, "Hey." A small pause ensued before he said slyly, "You have quite the transforming capabilities. I couldn't even catch up with you." He laughed quietly, trying to think of something else he could say without making useless conversation.
