We all grow up. Someday we're all going to be adult like our parents and grow older and older.( I know that some of you may already be "legal" adults.) Some of you are a fans of Balto now, but how much of a fan will you be when you get to be, say, in your mid 20's or 30's? Will you pass down the generation affection for the real and animated Balto or will you forget about him and move on to other things? (I'm not saying you have to praise his name and annoy others with it; I'm just asking, will you tell your kids about Balto and also care just as much about him then as you do now?

Good question. This is one of them topics that can be hard to answer because we're human, we can't predict the future. One can either still like it, or they can just lose interest. But in my case, I don't think my fandom is going anywhere any time soon.

Couldn't have said it better myself. My interests pretty much come and go. It is especially prevalent with the fanfics I write. So... yeah... I have no idea what'll happen.

I'm grateful to see this topic is getting some positive conversational feedback.

I would have to agree with the both of you. My interests come and go. But i pretty certain i will tell my kids about Balto.
I really wanted to see if anyone would know what they might say about Balto in the future

I'm grateful to see you talking intelligently.

As for Balto in the future, I don't know. If reason to, I would bring it up.

Yea I guesss. I've been a fan for like... six years I guess and I don't leave my old fandoms... And practically, I'm an adult already(I'll be 20 this year), so... yeah...

I'd like to mimagine I'd at LEAST get my little nieces and nephews to watch it. Balto's been one of my favorite films for a wile now, and I don't plan on forgetting it either.

I AM an adult (21, been on this site since I was 15) and am still a fan :D

The movie always brings me back to the simpler times of being a kid, and the true story behind it is inspiring in of itself. I don't really tell anyone about it because they'll probably just think I'm being corny, but I'm a sentimental person who loves stories that have meaning and stories that have heart, so I don't ever see myself not being a fan.

Eh, my "passion" for Balto has faded over the years--like others have said, my obsessions go in and out with time.

But hey, I still like the movie and draw the characters from time to time, and of course, I discuss it all here. It was such a big part of my fandom-life when I was younger, I don't think I can ever see it fading away completely.

So yes, I think I'll always be a fan of sorts, no matter what age. ;) And you can be guaranteed that my future kids will be watching it someday. XD

Hmm, I'm not quite sure about this.

When I was a little kid, I used to think that I would always have the same interests and avoid stuff I didn't like or wasn't fond of no matter how old I got. But now I don't even take a second glance at most of the stuff I used to be really into when I was younger and most of the stuff I like now I didn't think I'd ever be interested in at the time.

Now, I don't tend to think on whether I'll continue to like the stuff I like now when I'm an adult. All I think about is being interested in it right now. The same goes for Balto. I'm a fan of it now and that's all that really matters to me right now. I can't say I won't be a fan anymore when I'm an adult because it's my favorite movie right now and I hope I'll still be a fan of it. But at the same time I can't say I'll still be a fan of it because.... well.... everyone has to grow up, and growing up involves developing new interests.

I guess my definite answer won't come until I'm living my own life as an adult. But you can bet that if I have kids, I'll definitely be showing them Balto! :D

I am an adult right now (or I guess you could call me such), and I am still a fan. Have been since I first saw the movie. I am probably even more of a fan then I used to be. Recently, I have bought 4 original Storyboards from the movie, the soundtrack, the Laserdisc, a complete press kit, and several other things. I have recently become active in the fanart and fanfiction sections again, submitting 15 drawings and 1 fanfic this year alone. So yes, you could say that I am still a fan despite being an adult.

Yeah, I deal with that too... But could you say for sure you will tell your kids or someone younger than you about Balto when you get the chance when your older?

Well, speaking as an adult, I still enjoy the first movie, and the other two to limited degrees. I'll probably get them for my kids if and when I get married and have some. So... yeah. That's my answer.
