What Will Your Story Be?

Introduction

I haven't been involved in many open roleplays and would like to get more involved, so this idea isn't the most throughout plot I have ever had. Also, I have never created a roleplay like this before, but I have seen others like this and hope it gains some interest.

Plot

Dear Student,

Welcome to Dusk Till Dawn Creative Studio!

You have been selected as one of only eight high school students to participate in our two week summer program. You are invited to pack up all your supplies and spend fourteen days at our dorms to gain the use of our vast art rooms, high-tech recording studios, writing labs, digital art programming, and inspiring grounds. Experienced staff members will be available at all times to answer any questions and help out in any way they can. And if your work impresses the staff, you may find a letter welcoming you back to campus as a full time student for next year with full tuition.

If you choose to accept our invitation, arrive on campus on June 15th no later than nine o'clock in the morning to get settled in. Throughout these two weeks, there will be many chances to socialize with the other young adult students as well as show off your work to the faculty. We look for to seeing you in two months!

This is supposed to be just a fun, free-form sort of roleplay, so make sure to interact with others!

Please create a unique character with a detailed history. Students can come from anywhere, so be creative.

One of the only requirements is that they have to have a field. The options are: 2D artwork, 3D artwork, photography, creative writing, poetry, musician, or singer.

No one-liners, please. This is a semi-advanced roleplay so I expect a decent post with mostly correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Everyone is going to have a roommate. I will make the final decision on who rooms with who, but you may make suggestions if you really want to be with someone, but you will most likely not be rooming with another one of your characters.

Personality: Rose is rather soft-spoken and normally doesn't speak unless spoken to. But when invited into the conversation, she is very sarcastic and has her funny moments. She is a person who tends to be everybody's best friend because she is very patient and a great listener, so she can get along even with the toughest personalities. She sees the best in a person and always has the most treasured compliments when a friend needs them. She runs into trouble with honesty, though, since she seems unable to lie and tends to "throw others under the bus." She gets frustrated at times because she is the one everyone comes to when they have a problem but she doesn't really have anyone to go to herself.
History: Rose attended a tiny private school since kindergarten and recently graduated with a class of fifty-three seniors. Throughout her high school years, she mingled with several different groups and seemed to have a best friend in every clique. This managed to cause many problems when it came to making weekend plans and deciding group projects and picking sides in an argument. Rose has been in the middle of multiple wars between schoolmates, and has hated every minute of it. She never managed to have a relationship since she was always caught up in the latest girl drama, but she did have her share of dates, heartbreaks, crushes, and "talking." She first discovered photography when she was fifteen and always had a camera on her after that first moment with it. She became a yearbook editor her senior year and was known for popping in and out of classes taking pictures for it. After being forced to attend a creative writing class to fill an elective spot her senior year, she really loved writing short stories and regretted not taking the class before. Her home life as an only child was pretty simple. With two working parents, she was home alone a lot, but she spent most of this time with friends so she wouldn't get lonely.

Personality: Andrew is a very intense individual, always observing his surrounds and noticing all the little things. He's one of those people who can tell what your feeling even when you don't know. He is a very friendly guy who is willing to talk to everyone, but not everyone is willing to talk to him since his version of small talk is rather heavy. He normally doesn't let things bother him and doesn't mind if someone walks away from or bluntly ignores him. He is very realistic and isn't one to spare someone's feelings. He is brutally honest and always lets a person know his opinoin.
History: Andrew was the youngest of three brothers and overly smothered by his mother. He was never the athletic one, so while his father drilled his two brothers in sports, Andrew spent lots of time inside the house trying to avoid a mother who desperately wanted one of her sons to be a momma's boy. Andrew never pretended like his mother's attention, but she ignored his grumblings and babied him anyways. As soon as Andrew got himself a car, he was rarely seen around the house and hung around the music store with all his spare time. The store keeper noticed Andrew's constant presence and offered him free guitar lessons if he would work the shelves a few times a week. Andrew took the job for a few bucks, but was unsure about the lessons. But as soon as he got the guitar in his hands, he felt like he had finally found his calling.

Personality: Calm and level headed, has a "don't give a crap" attitude, isn't much of a talker and has that mysterious feel to him, has a very good way with words and is often caught using sarcasm or snide remarks. Doesn't open up right away, once he knows you and trusts you, his barriers start to come down. Dev just has that cool swagger feel to him, he knows how to stay classy and does in most situations. However, on rare occasions, if Dev loses his temper he explodes, and it's not fun. Something about Dev just attracts others to him, maybe it's his held back personality or piercing eyes, but of course he is oblivious to the unspoken attention he gets. He never changes for anyone, his personality always remains the same.
History: Dev has always been apart of the huge schools. Grade schools with classes of a thousand, that carried through to middle school and high school. Dev always was in with the crowd, he even stuck out of it. He's always had a large number of friends and could be considered one of the most popular. Ever since Dev can remember he was sketching things. On the wall when he was a baby, on the table, on every scrap of homework paper. His mother was very proud of his talent (not when it was on the walls) and supported him. She gave him his first camera for his "entering high school" gift, and he's been blooming with that talent as well. Dev lives with his single mother and older brother Owen. Owen is jealous, but supportive and loving of his talented little brother. He is working at home, insisting that Dev focuses on school, to take care of their mother. Dev doesn't talk about his home life very much, and even though it's a friendly and loving environment, he prefers spending his time elsewhere instead of home.

Personality: very bubbly and outgoing, probably one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet, she is very innocent and oblivious. Riley never curses or says anything bad about anyone. She always tries to see the good in everything and believes that people are truly better than they sometimes are. She can be categorized as blonde but she is too sweet for anyone to think of her as stuck up or snobbish. However, she doesn't have a strange sense of toughness about her, she wants to do things herself and is very strong.
History: Riley grew up in a small country town out in western Wyoming. Her parents owned a small farm so Riley grew up as a country girl, always tan, freckled, and constantly outdoors. Her parents were both happily married, Riley being the oldest of five kids, the youngest girl of four brothers. So growing up, Riley knew how to be tough and defend herself. Although Riley loved her family and her town, she knew she was capable of bigger and better things. So when she heard about his opportunity to broaden her talent of art, she was ecstatic. Her parents were sad to see their last child leaving the nest but they were happy for her, and Riley's outgoing personality led her to be excited too.

Appearance: Amanda is thin in the body with a heart shaped face. She is light skinned with soft hazel/green eyes. Amanda has darker hair than her parents. Actually a suttle brown.
Personality: Amanda is a spunky and outgoing girl. She loves being the center of attention wherever she goes. Amanda will do anything or go anywhere to get a great picture of nature. Amanda loves animals and being with her friends. She is a very kind and caring young lady with a lot of dreams. Amanda can be head strong but can still easily talk her way out of just about anything.
History: Amanda was born in Detroit, Michigan. West side. She grew up with many friends and family around her. Including all the Juggalos and Juggalettes of the streets. Amanda got her first tattoos when she turned 18 years old on August 15th. She got a tattoo of the 'Hatchet Man', the logo of ICP 'Insane Clown Posse', a tattoo of 'The Wraith', which is one of the six jokers cards, and a tattoo of a pink 'Hatchet Girl' with 'Juggalette Princess' written under it in really pretty letters. Amanda's mother saw changes in her little girl most mothers would be terrified of. One day while Amanda was walking home from spending a couple days at the Seminar, she was attacked by a bunch of people who hated the group she was running with. Amanda fought back and came home with a black eye and bloody nose. Her mother called a 'U-Haul' truck that day and she made her daughter pack up. Not caring of her love for their town, her mother and her moved down to this town. Amanda missed Detroit badly, wanting to run away and live with her family of juggalos and juggalettes. Her mother gave her one warning, if she ran away, she'd never be able to come back. Amanda was tempted to take that dissadvantage but something told her to stay with her mother. She sighed and stayed with her, not letting go of her Juggalette life. Amanda had a blackberry full of numbers of all the Juggalos and Juggalettes she had left. She made a facebook account aswell not that long ago, adding: Jamie Madrox, Joseph Utsler (Shaggy 2 Dope), Paul Methric (Twizted/Monoxide Child), Boondox, Blaze, ABK, and many of the other ICP members.

History: Tabitha was born in Southwest Detroit, Michigan. Living with only her brother and her step mom. Tabitha's father had died when she was just a little girl. Tabitha started listening to the Insane Clown Posse songs an soon she was addicted to them. She went to many of their concerts and got them to sign a lot of their merchandice for her to keep. She took nearly 90 pictures with them and got about 4 videos with them. Tabitha came home late one night after being gone for about a week. Her step mother blew up in her face about liking the band she hated the most. Tabitha told her step mother that she was just as fake as the people that hated ICP and her mother shipped her off. Tabitha was forced to move down to this state against her will. Personality: Brody is an incredibly quiet guy who keeps to himself. He grew up being ignored, so got used to being silent but actually grew up to have, selective mutism. He's generally very peacful, going to quiet places alone just to think. However, he never discusses his thoughts. In addition to this, he is actually very strong willed, confident, and also gets easily angered. He likes to get away from people from time to time, and when he's alone, he sings along to his music. The only person who has ever heard him speak, is his music Teacher.
History: He was born the youngest of four other children. His parents were far too busy trying to get their eldest children ready for the real world, weddings, engagements, and even grandchildren. All through his childhood Brody was completely ignored, and when his parents actually did talk to him, he didn't respond as he was in no mood for their reactions (when Brody was very young and when he did talk, his parents usually told him to 'be quiet' for some reason or another.) Brody went to his older sister, Sam for attention, but even she couldn't get a word out of him. When Brody eventually left home, the world outside his house was just as bad as it was in his house. It seemed no one really understood the concept of selective mutism and out of the people he met, they all seemed to be either loud and obnoxious or too flirty. Brody however was able to get into school for his musical talents. He still doesn't speak, he simply hums to himself, rhythmically taps his pencil, makes his own little tunes, and tries to avoid people.

Personality: A hard character to match. Chris is flirty, arrogant, and in a sense obnoxious. He wouldn't have even considered coming to school, had his art skills not been recognized. Chris was (and still is) always getting into trouble. Regular visits to the head-master's office where simply second nature to him. While he barley passed high school he had spent enough time doodling in his note books to be recognized as gifted.
History: Actually he's had a very normal history. He was your typical little kid, destructive and easily amused. As he grew older his hobbies of drawing and doodling became more of a skill and he eventually hoped to become a good artist, that was actually the only thing that kept him from dropping out of highschool, the hope of an art career.

All the students have just arrived on campus and are arriving in their rooms to unpack and meet their roommates after saying good-bye to their parents.

Note: the residence building will be set up as follows:
Bottom Floor: common room
Middle Floor: boys' rooms and bathroom
Top Floor: girls' rooms and bathroom

Also, I will be keeping track of the days since there is a specific amount of time this roleplay will go on. But don't worry, if this roleplay goes passed those days, I'll make a sequel!

Day One

Rose heaved her dark blue duffled back farther on her shoulder as she made her way up the stairs of the building she would be living in for the next two weeks. In the hand of that same arm, she was nearly dragging her laptop case that alos doubled as her notebook carrier. In her other hand, she carried a large black bag that contained her camera and all it's little gadgets in several different zipped up pockets of the case. Finally, she reached the top of the staircase and practically feel into the room on the right. She dropped everything on one of the mattresses, sitting down beside her pile of things and being thankful that the trek up to the top floor was over.

Andrew's quitar, secure in it's case, beat against the back of his legs as he quickly made his way up one flight of stairs to the second floor. He made his way into the room he would be sharing with Chris Roukuro, whoever that was. Andrew carried a single suitcase with him that probably contained more picks and papers than clothing or toiletries. He set this down on a decent sized desk at the end of his bed, which looked fairly comfortable compared to what he had first been accepting. With great care, he stowed away his guitar inside the closet on the opposite end of his bed, not even bothering to worry where he would store his clothers as the case took up almost the entire small space.

Brody walked up the stairs of the school. A green suitcase in one hand, a guitar case in the other. His mother had hugged him, coddled him, but he hadn't responded. Brody hadn't spoken a word to his parents in many years. He had even gone so far as to learn sign language. Many people wondered what went through the quiet boy's mind. What those amber eyes had to hide. Brody had nothing to hide, infact, music was all he thought about. He could turn anything into music if he wished, but his silence made people doubt him. He was relieved to finally reach his dorm.

Chris wasn't so shy, his parents had been all too thrilled to get rid of him. Now he stepped happily up to his dorm. Collage ment freedom from home. No more obnoxious rules, and annoying neighbors. Chris was thrilled, his simply hobby had landed him here and out of his parent's keep. He was ready for collage life.

Amanda ~
She drove up into the parking lot, her music blaring and the bass rattling her windows. She turned off the engine, opening the door with one hand and scooping up all her sketch pads and colored pencils in the other. She smiled slightly as Tabitha pulled up beside her, her music aswell blaring. Amanda smiled bigger as she saw Tabitha's new tattoo, 'The Wraith'. Amanda grabbed a few bags in one hand, shoving her sketch pad into her under arm. She got out, slamming the door shut on her hummer and opening the other door. She grabbed 2 black bags, one medium and one large. They both had 'Insane Clown Posse' written on it with the hatchet man under the letters. Amanda shut the door again and walked to the big double doors, slamming the car door behind her.

Tabitha ~
Tabitha pulled into the parking spot next to Amanda, closer to the door. Tabitha grabbed her bags in one hand, holding her phone between her shoulder and her ear. Trying to talk and get her things at one time. She picked up her camera case, shutting the door with her knee. Tabitha managed to put her camera case in her mouth and grab the falling bag. She sighed slightly and dropped her stuff. She grunted and kicked her bag. Ugh! Stupid bags! She said throwing her arms down to her sides. She put her camera in another bag along with her phone. Clutching it in her right hand. She grabbed the rest of her bags in her free hand. She smiled slightly as she saw Amanda standing at the door waiting for her with a huge grin.

Dev looked up from his gibson acoustic guitar as he heard someone walk in. This must be my roomate he thought as he glanced up at the guy, strumming softly. He glanced around at his stuff, making sure that it wasn't in his way. He saw his two duffle bags on the floor, and his open guitar case on his bed, next to his camera case. "Hey," Dev said, standing up and stretching out his hand. "I'm Deveron Black, but you can call me Dev." He tried to smile, but it was an attempted fail.

Riley's cowboy boots clunked up the stairs loudly as she made her way with her luggage. She couldn't erase the huge smile off of her face as she reached the top, she couldn't wait until she got to her room. "Whew!" Riley sighed as she finally reached her room. She dropped her huge bags and set down her professional looking painting kit on her bed, and turned to greet her roommate. "Hi!" Riley squeaked and began bouncing up and down in front of her new roommate.

Rose couldn't help but stare at her very hyper roommate, but she looked at the girl with curiousity instead of annoyance which was probably more expected. Rose smiled at her roommates and said politely, "Hi. I'm Rose." Her voice was very quiet and sweet, completely different from the other redhead's voice which was loud and squeaky with excitement. "What's your name?" Rose asked as she stood up from her bed, feeling rude sitting while the other girl stood.

Andrew turned away from the closet when a dark-haired boy whom he assumed would be his new roommate stepped inside the dorm. "Hey," Andew said with a nod of his head in greeting towards the boy. "I'm guessing your Chris? My name's Andrew." He didn't offer any kind of handshake to Chris, but instead walked passed him back to the bed where his suitcase was. He flipped it open and grabbed the stack of papers that sat on top of his clothes. "Song lyrics," he said in explanation as if Chris had asked him what they were. Andrew set them in a neat pile on his desk, finally looking at his dormmate again. "So what's your specailty?"

Amanda ~
She smiled slightly as Tabitha walked through the door and came up next to her. You gonna come today or tomorrow? She joked and they both laughed. They went to nearest chairs in the lobby and sat down slightly, the cushons shrinking down under their weight. Amanda fixed her things so her possesions would be easier to carry. She was planning to go and have a girls night out with her friends the next night. She took a glance at Chris, sharing a simple smile and getting back to arranging her iteams neatly in her bag. When she was finished she only had 2 bags to carry, taking one bag back to her car. She sat back in the chair, outstretching her legs, just chilling out for a while.

She chuckled, glancing over at the other people. She cracked her knuckles and observed her tattoo for a minute or two. When do we get to go to our dorms? She asked outloud, hoping someone would chime in and tell her. She spared a glance around the lobby, surveying the posters and everything else around her. She sighed loudly, looking for something to do. Running her fingers on the arm rest of her wooden chair. Amanda tapped her shoulder lightly, showing her the tickets she had gotten for an upcoming preformance, along with bagstage passes. Tabitha's eyes widened and smiled heavy.Oh my gosh Mandy! How'd you get these?! She surveyed the tickets with her finger tips, running them along the edges.

Amanda ~
She handed Tabitha a backstage pass and placed the other one in one of the capartments on her suitcase, making sure to zip up the pocket. I called Psycopathic Records, told them Shaggy reserved two tickets and two backstage passes for me and a friend and they sent them to me. Whoop Whoop! She and Tabitha laughed. They knew Shaggy from a while back. Insane Clown Posse did a seminar in 2010, Amanda and Tabitha had standing in the crowd, right infront of the small stage. What Tabitha didn't know was that Amanda had stayed after and got to talk to Shaggy and Violent J personally, without anyone else around. Amanda had gotten them to reserve two tickets and two backstage passes for them and so they did, since they were Amanda's friend anyway. It was pretty easy, all you need is good looks and a spicy attitude and they do anything for you.
