A currently unnamed rp of Animal Whisperer and Spirit girl.

In the woods and sharp mountains of Alaska within five miles of Nome during the harsh winter. (Nothing else specified.) With me (Animal Whisperer) as Rodney, and Spirit girl as Celestial.

Celestial trotted through the cold, harsh winter of Alaska.Five miles away was the nearest town, which was Nome. The light and dark golden wolf, with brown and white markings trudged through the deep thick snow. Her Caribbean blue eyes, highlighted by her blue eyes markings, flashed slightly in the darkness of the night.

The tall pine trees, towered over her, caked with ice and snow. The wind blew harshly, whipping cold, icy wind into the she wolf's face.

She looked around, trying to see if any one else was out beside her in the darkness of the blizzard storm

Only a mile away, a sturdy golden and brown wolfdog was looking for shelter. In his mouth he carried a rabbit that he had caught. It's thin body proved how scarce food was for any of the animals. The wind fiercely whipped his eyes as he bent his head and slowly trudged forward.

The thick snow coming down made it nearly impossible to see the bare vegetation around him, but he could just make out what looked like the rock face of a mountain in front of him. The screeches and cries of other animals made Rodney shiver as he himself had no group to live with...

Celestial jumped when the screeching and cries of other animals reached here ears. She flattened them against her head, as an other cold burst of cold wind busted into her face. She looked up when, she saw the mountain in front of her.

She coughed, quietly as she looked up. She paused as the strong scent of blood drafted into her nose.

Rodney's footsteps grew heavier as the storm thickened. Icicles had begun to form on the rabbit carcass as Rodney, weary from lack of food, stumbled and nearly blacked out. Almost instantly he came back to his senses and willed himself to keep going. The mountain grew very near as he took each step and he finally spotted an area with a pile of rocks. One lay crookedly against another and formed a small area of shelter, no bigger than three wolves could have squeezed into.

Smiling contentedly, Rodney lay down in the opening and put his head down to catch his breath before eating his meal. As his eyes closed, the gentle sound of his mother's voice played through his mind. It comforted him and he prayed for better weather to come...

Celestial closed her eyes as the rush of air blew into her face. The snow that flew heavier, caked to the tips of her pelt as she pushed on.

The smell of blood was stronger now, and closer. She dropped her head and sniffed, trying to target the scent. Her stomach growled and hissed in protest. It had been 3 days since she last eaten, and her strength was starting to falter.

Celestial shook herself, and looked around. The tall, dark snow capped mountain stood above her. The tree's branches waved with the strong wind and snow continued to fall. Her blue eyes scanned, for any sight of life or food. Certainly something had to be out right?

Blue eyes scanned the empty white land. Not a creature was in sight. She growled, trying to ignore her stomach's protest. Suddenly, the blood....the blood scent reached her nose again, calling. Beckoning to her.

She followed her instincts. Perhaps a helpless animal had crawled into a hole and died. Perhaps.

She paused when the blood scent led her to a pile of rocks. She cocked her head, looking oddly at one rock laying crookedly against another. She looked at the ground, and saw it was disturbed. Something had been here.

Rodney pricked up his ears as he sensed that someone was nearby. Though the blizzard made it hard to detect, he noticed that the scent was of a canine. The rabbit lay in front of him with snow and ice clinging to it. Slowly he stood up and took two steps out of the cave-like shelter. There he could make out the canine that he had sensed barely two yards away...

Her ears perked up, when she caught the scent of someone in the rocks. She paused, trying to think of what to do.

"Hello?" she asked quietly, taking a step inside. She lowered her head, and squeezed through the tight space. "Any one in here?"

He watched as the wolf came to the entrance of the small cave. By the wolf's scent and appearance he could tell that it was a female and that she was thin like himself. Standing up Rodney came to face her as she called out inquiring if anyone was there. "Who are you?" he asked replying gently while staring directly at the female.

She paused, a little hesitant and startled by the male wolf in front of her. From the looks, he was an quite attractive wolf, yet he was thin like her. Celestial bowed slightly. "My mane is Celestial," she replied calmly. "I'm sorry if I intruded on your place." she said, lowering her head and wagging her tail lightly in a friendly manner.

Rodney nodded gently at the female's notion of general respect, and answered his own question. "My name is Rodney, and I don't own, but simply have found temporary shelter here, so you are not intruding." A slight smile came to his face as he glanced at the walls of the rock shelter. "What brings you out here all alone?"

Celestial smiled back calmly at Rodney. "I was out searching for my lost sister. Yet, I couldn't find her, and I got lost." She sat down lightly. "Then I found the scent of blood-" she turned to look at the rabbit - "and it lend me here."

Sympathy filled Rodney's face. "I'm sorry that you couldn't find your sister..." His eyes gently scoured the weather conditions outside the cave. The wind roughly gusted piles of snow against the rocks, blanketing everything in snow and ice. It was clear that they would have to stay in the cave for awhile, until the weather changed. "We'll need to stay here in the cave for the night, and probably through tomorrow until the weather lightens." He turned to face Celestial. "You may share the rabbit with me, but we must take care not to eat all of it tonight as we might be stuck here for a few days." Pausing he nodded towards the rabbit and then to the cave entrance. "After the weather has cleared, I will join you on your search for your sister. No one should have to travel alone. I too, am alone as I have been most of my life. Family members are important; remember that."

Celestial smiled kindly and nodded. "Thank you, Rodney. That's very kind and considerate of you." she said. She looked back out towards the snow storm, "I sure that my sister is out there somewhere, but where ever is is, I'm sure that she's safe." Quickly, she moved over towards the rabbit and ate a small piece of meat. The delicious meat tasted good, she had to stop herself from eating more of it.

Moving away from it, and relaxing in a sitting position, she looked at Rodney. "You been alone all of your life?" she asked, "I can't imagine what that feels like."

"You're welcome." He stated with a smile. Rodney bent over the rabbit and selected a small chunk of meat. The flavor was rich and made Rondney close his eyes with satisfaction after finishing. Contemplating what to say, he walked over to lay across from Celestial.

"Yes. My mother was captured from these very mountains. The hunter took her home to his dog, where my mother fell into the trap. My father pretended to be sweet to her, but after my siblings and I were born he showed his true colors. He beat my mother but she helped me to escape. I don't know what happened to her, but we lived together for a short time before deciding that it was best to part ways..." Rodney paused, his eyes were damp and he looked at the ground with sorrow. "Ever since then... I have traveled alone. I have barely seen any other living creatures other than those that we hunt and am grateful for your company. That is why I want to help you find your sister. I don't want you and her to be completely isolated like I have been."

A very serious expression crossed his face as he spoke this to Celestial. Rodney wouldn't let her and her sister suffer the same isolation.
