Humphrey Bogart or Tom Hanks for best actor ever. They have both been able to show a range of characters they are able to create, and most of their movies are true classics.

Kathrine Hepburn for best actress ever. Again, such a dynamic range of characters.

Aaaaaaand once again, a topic which has a concept that is VERY hard to pin down. I have several I consider "best" of either sex. But I guess I'll try to narrow it down for now...

Best Actor: A three-way tie for me. Between Sam Elliott, Dennis Quaid and Jeremy Irons

Best Actress: Another three-way tie in this case: Between Mary McDonnell, Kim Cattrall and Keira Knightley

Each stands on their merits as actors or actresses worthy of the moniker.

And his acting isn't all that bad either! :P

Actually it's "Noomi Rapace". And I had to look her up because she is an utterly unknown quantity in the U.S. And given her credits on imdb.com, I can see why. ROFL

Sorry. I spell names wrong. Who can forget The First 3 Girl with The Dragon Tattoo movies. Or Sherlock Holmes a Game of Shadows?

Hmmm ...
Colin Firth is one of the best.
But I think the best actor ever has to go to the late Heath Ledger, he's put in outstanding performances in many films. The most notable would be Joker in The Dark Knight
He was just aamzing!
