This rant is similar to the "Polly wanna cracker" rant. Same problem, just in a different form.

I have to wonder if people can read these days."Look everybody! There's a stolen image in this gallery! Come take look! Don't forget to comment, report and share!" What I mean is, when I see comments saying "You stole this, reported." 5 or more people have to come along and do the same exact thing. I would think from the first comment that people would have established that the content is stolen, and that there is no need to point that out again and report it again...There is no point in doing that. Not only is that unnecessary, it also makes more work for the mods. ONE report per problem is enough to get the job done.

I think the site report system should work the same way the forum reports work. That way we don't have these report happy people sending the same report over and over again.

I actually agree with this. It's been bugging me for a while, but I haven't gotten around to making a rant topic for it. (Thanks for saving me the time/motivation! ;))

Something to add to what Mighty said: it's almost ALWAYS the same people who do it. A whole group of them seems to follow each other around, find something, and then post "Stolen! Reported!" within a few minutes of each other, mere hours at most. If it was more of a variety, it wouldn't be so annoying--but as it is, we have a group of five or six people doing it all at once, always the same group.

I'd be in favor of that begin implemented on the site, yes. I'm sure the mods would appreciate it, too.

Yes we would. I'd say make it a new rule to NOT play this game, but who bothers reading rules when they join anymore. -_-

I haven't seen this myself though. Being mostly on the forums, I see the OPPOSITE. Where members complain about something that's wrong in a topic, but DON'T report it.
Now HOW do they expect mods to fix it if we don't know about it? We're not mind readers. Don't complain unless it was reported and we have had a chance to see it. Sheesh.

Let's see here, we have packs, trolls, noobs, and now apparently crime stoppers. I think I'll call them the AS Thief Busters.

Yes, I agree completely, it should be a rule. If necessary, Skul or I could make a public announcement about this. I mean not as rule, but regarding reporting.

I don't see it happen too often on the sources, but it's never pleasant to deal with two or more reports on the exact same problem. The problem is how much work it could take to make it so that multiple reports couldn't be sent for something; assuming it's even feasible to do that.

When it comes to members posting the same message about having reported something, a spam filter could be placed, but I'm sure they could get around it if they really felt like they wanted everyone to know that they reported something.

Nothing like a bunch of self-important little busy-bodies to create extra work, and extra misery, for the moderators and the rest of the membership, 'ey?

It IS rather the same problem, isn't it? Everyone wanting to get their two cents in, and seem like they're on the ball, and sooooo clever and important. Ugh.

Having the system work like on the forums would help SO much. Most of the time whenever there are a bunch of reports, its always repeats.
