This topic needed a reboot since it's (to me) pretty interesting and it was already locked. LAKOTA WOLFDOG (Or I) said Okay maybe someone already did do this topic maybe they didn't but "Balto vs.Tramp". What do there two dog and wolf-dog have in common? Well, I guess Nothing much at all!: *Tramp is an outcast, (like Balto), but is loved but all the dog in town *Balto is an outcast but hated by everyone in town
*Tramp is a Jumper;(goes from one girl to the next) *Balto is faithful to his all time lover , Jenna
I could do more but I'm tired of typing and you get the point, but did you EVER notice this: Balto and Tramp look very alike! Don't believe me Look Here!: The only difference i can make out is the ears and tail! Everything else is THE SAME! The Nose, Jaw line, fur color line, everything else!
Since LADY AND THE TRAMP was made in 1955 it's only in my best guess that Balto's texture is a copy of tramps, just changed up a bit, since Balto was made in 1995 exactly 40 years later. Look at the same structure: And Tramps Structure: Convince they are almost the same? I shouldn't assume so, so Do you think Balto would be just a "cheap" copy of Tramp, just changed ears and tail? And even though he might be a copy. Who's is still COOLER to you? You've got a POLL to answer that! Have Fun. I FORGOT TO PUT UP THE POSTS ANSWERS BUT NOW THEY'RE UP. This Topic needed renovation and i think it has. If there is something that you dislike. PM me and we'll talk about it

Could I suggest you use some smaller screenshots of Balto? They stretch my screen. And I once saw a comment on LATTS saying that Universal did use Tramp as an inspiration. But as for being a cheap clone, no, he's not. Their body structure is not the same. Tramp is a domesticated dog, Balto is a wolf hybrid. Disney studied dogs, mutts in Tramp's case. Universal studied Huskies and wolves. The article on LATTS http://www.animationsource.org/lady_tra ... id_film=25

I know I replied to this once, but I now have more to say. I don't think Tramp or Balto look alike. Some similarities, but here's the thing. All dogs, even wolves, look similar to one another in some sort of way. That can't be applied to Tramp or Balto since they're not of the same breed. But my point still stands. Examples:

I can't see any resemblances between them at all! Everything about them is different. Their bodies, heads, legs, tails. Everything about them is different! I'm sure the producers of Balto could have used Tramp as a baseline for Balto's build, but it was most likely just used as a comparison to see if their build for Balto had any resemblances to him so they could alter anything that would make him look like another dog.
BTW, I agree with Zuko. There should be a 4th option that says "No."

Well, I see a bit of a resemblance in body figure and fur texture is some areas such as the area around the eyes but other than that, i don't see much.

I'm with the others who say it's completely coincidental. If you take a peek at the Production page on BS, Balto's original design was nothing like Tramp; The producers just altered his design a bit for the final version, obviously we don't know exactly why they did but I'm pretty sure it wasn't to copy Tramp. Plus, their personalities are nothing alike. Nor are their mannerisms.

Balto looks similar to Tramp, but he doesn't look THAT much like Tramp.

You say he does and then he doesn't...
Seriously, if you can't reply to a topic intelligently, don't post.
