I'd like to join as Janna, and as my own character;

Name: Buddy.
Age: Four years.
Crush: No one really, but he chooses to hind it.
Spieces: Dog, (Husky mix.)
Gender: Male.
Mate: None.
Pups: None.
Owner: James.
Personality (+2): Buddy is a kind and loving dog when it comes to his family and friends, but can turn ugly if they or himself are threatened. He is also a hard fighter when it comes to racing, and he can't wait until he gets his chance to race against Steele.
Sled dog? If so what position: He is lead dog of his team.

Personality (+2): Kaltag has a very wide vocabulary and tends to use it without end. When someone attempts to show him up, he's quick to protest - which is half of the reason he's hitting Star all the time. Kaltag is willing to work hard, but he's also somewhat distracted at times. He's extremely intelligent (hence the vocabulary) and can catch a lie in its making. He can be a bit competitive but mostly he would rather not be alone. He'd rather not win and still have a team than be first place and all on his own.
Sled dog? If so what position: Yes, he is a team dog.
Looks: Middle (golden) one.

Steele:
He woke up that morning with a slight irritation forming under his paw. Pulling it up to him, Steele licked his paw and got up. Stretching before jogging out the door with his master, ready to see his sweat heart. Steele scanned around until he found her, he smiled flirtatiously and strutted over to her. Hey hot stuff. He smiled and licked her muzzle before walking along side her.

Kaltag awoke with a giant yawn which escaped from his pressed muzzle. His vision was blurry at first, but after a few moments, he soon found it easy to adjust. It was clear morning now. He turned his face up at the sky and didn't see much up there except the sun shining down. He quickly squinted his dark eyes and turned his snout back towards the ground in order to prevent the rays from reaching them. With another yawn, quicker this time, Kaltag stood in a stretching position, arching his back so as to crack the bones.

He quickly righted himself, sensing that Steele was somewhere nearby. He shrugged at the thought. He had never liked Steele from the start, but the team had always been by his side before the serum run. It seemed only natural that he, Star, and Nikki stay by his side too. Now, of course, things were different, but Kaltag couldn't help letting his curiosity get the best of him. He sneaked around the corner of his hiding place, and quickly saw a red figure whom he immediately guessed was Jenna. What was she doing with Steele?

Crush: Balto, and Steele.
Species: Dog.
Gender: Female.
Mate: Balto, but is secret lovers with Steele.
Pups: None.
Owner: Rosie.
Personality (+2): She a smart, and loving husky who would do anything to make sure her owner is ok, She's also a very outgoing young female, but she does have a hard bite behind her. She tends to do some things without thinking much of it.
Sled dog? If so what position: She isn't a true sled dog, but does pull Rosie around on a small sled.

Jenna signed slightly as she opened her eyes, the suns rays were flooding Rosie's room through her window. The red husky stood, and stretched quickly before rushing over to her owner's bed and waking her. "Aright Jen, I'm up." The little girl yawned as she petted her dog's head lightly. Later at breakfast Rosie kept sneaking small pieces of food under the table to where Janna was. The young husky took the food without a protest, soon it was time for Rosie to head to school. Jenna saw her off, then went off on her own, to find either her mate, or her new secret lover.

As she was walking down the main rode out of the town, Steele came up to her and licked her muzzle. "Steele." She giggled as she took her paw and rubbed at the place he had licked her, "how are you this morning?" She asked as she continued her walk, but not at such a fast pace.


Buddy shook off as he pulled back in with his team from a nightly run. They would have been back long ago, but because of an error, they had had to stay out in the wilderness. "What in the world were you thinking Digger?" He asked his teammate by his nickname. The black dog just shrugged as he and the rest of the team were unhooked to their harnesses. Buddy sat down, and shook his head, his owner/musher; James walked over to him, and patted his head. "Good boy, you have to day off." With that Buddy walked off, maybe he'll find that dog that caught his eye the other day.

Steele:
I've never been better. So have you seen mutt ball today? He smiled flirty like he always did. Or do we have this day all to ourselves. Just then Balto came around the corner. When he saw Steele so close to Jenna he snarled and gave him a threat. Standing strong Steele snarled back and was about to attack when his master called him. Steele smacked Balto with his bushy tail and jogged over to his master, getting hitched up for the big race. Starr and Nikki where waiting anxiously to get moving. Steele didn't care if he ran this race alone, as long as Jenna got to see how much better he was than Balto. Where was Kaltag?

As their owner began to call, Kaltag winced. He was getting tired of following Steele's orders, but what choice did he have unless he wanted to be alone. He crawled out from behind the corner and stood tall in front of Jenna and Balto. He ignored Jenna for the mean time, figuring he could do without the stuttering this time. He turned to Balto and said swiftly, "Sorry, Balto..." he trailed off, meaning to tell him that he would like to give his two cents in later, but now was not the time.

After that, Kaltag sped off to the team, gritting his teeth behind his lips. He was beginning to feel extremely uncomfortable in this situation. Nikki and Star knew Steele was a jerk, and yet they chose to stick with him. It drove the more intelligent canine to the point of madness, but he knew full well that if he walked out on the team he'd be out of a job and without a friend in the town. He sighed heavily before allowing himself to be clipped to the sled, behind Nikki.

Kaltag tilted his head as he noticed another dog come up and begin to stare at him. He didn't say a word, but the way the dog continued to gaze at him was somewhat uncomfortable. He didn't seem to recognize him at first, but after some thought, he finally realized the other dog was from the opposing team. He continued to talk to Steele, but was still looking at him intensely. He would have asked why, but he wasn't about to talk over Steele voluntarily. He wasn't in good standards with the malamute, seeing as he was beginning to break away from the team, so that would be the last thing he'd ever hope to accomplish.

Steele:
He nodded a flirty smile as his musher yelled the most famous word know in Alaska, 'Mush!' Steele shot off like a bullet, leaving the other team in the snow. Steele knew that trail by pure memory and it was his favorite, nobody would be able to see him cheat. Other than the dogs behind him. When the other team started catching up Steele snapped at his legs. Making him stumble and fall, laughing as the other musher yelled his name in pure rage. Steele didn't care at all and crossed the finish line with pride. Dixie starring lovingly at him, but he didn't care. Steele walked directly into the boiling room and waited.

(Well, that was a pure skip....)


Jenna sighed as Balto finally left her at her house to head back to his boat. It wasn't that she didn't like being around it it was just that he always stuck so close to her is wasn't even funny. She watched as his brown fur wondered out of view before it was finally out of sight. She then stood and ran off toward the boiler room. "Steele?" She asked as she looked around for him. She had been wait for this all day, she didn't want to have to wait on him all night. She soon spoted his black and white fur near the heater. "Steele..." She smiled flirtingly at him, "how was your race?"


Buddy shook the snow that was thrown on his off, and sat down watching as Steele, and the other team raced off. "Just wait until I have my chance to race against you Steele, I've been watching I know what you do to win, but my team will be prepared for it." He said to himself, as he headed back toward the barn where he and his team were kept. Buddy however didn't go inside, instead he walked past it toward the boiler room under the hospital. He liked sleeping there sometimes, he also liked to clear his mind there.

OOC: Indeed...

Kaltag shook his fur as the team was unhitched. Another race won, big deal. He couldn't really care less. At least Steele was happy and Kaltag would not have to be involved in another matter of bullying those unfortunately lower than Steele. He sighed in relief as he rested his paws against the cold, damp snow. He went into an alley near the boiler room in an attempt to feel room temperature. The snow was cold, but the heat emanating from the building was perfect. It was not freezing, yet it was not at such a temperature where he was sweating out of his pelt. Kaltag smiled to himself and laid there, beginning to daydream.
