I know there used to be another topic on this years ago, but it's old and six feet under now. I just wanted to know if anyone else is familiar with it. Anyone who knows me is probably familiar with some of my work (and if you're not, check my BS profile), but discuss it here--what you've done, anything. I also encourage you to make suggestions on which things I should design.

Well, to be honest, I don't try it that often. Really, the only shapes I've made out of paper are a cat and airplanes. xD

Origamist wrote: Gonna bump this. I sympathize, Origamist. You're not getting much of a response. Feels like whenever I post thorough, informative topics about the serum run or other aspects of the actual history, and no one posts unless I make a real fuss about it. My topic about the top twenty songs of 1925 in the Balto 1 board is a prime (and the latest) example. You wonder why you try. You keep hoping SOMEONE will take notice and say...something. Hopefully something of SUBSTANCE which will move the topic along, not just some vacuous, irrelevant few-word answer along the lines of "wow, I never knew that". Or "nope i really dont".
To help move YOUR topic along, at least, I will tell you that I am quite familiar with origami as an art form, but never did much of it, and don't follow it. I tried it a few times, even in art classes in high school, but that was it. I can see you're strongly motivated by it and enjoy it. That's very nice.

I think it's just a matter of chance (ie, whether people see it and decide to reply or not). In any case, here are a few of my deisgns: Maiden (1.0) by Baltorigamist, on Flickr Rose by Baltorigamist, on Flickr Cyclommatus imperator v2.4 by Baltorigamist, on Flickr

Part of that was due to assistance from Mighty in linking it to a fan news. Most people read without responding. It's nice that they're looking, but responses DO make a difference. But enough on that.

I've never done any of this kind of art myself (other than paper airplanes that never fly right), but your work is very nice. (=
