Maybe it's foolish of me to say, but this issue has been irritating me for quite sometime. Everyone knows about the gradients that are used as backgrounds for the official characters, correct? They are made especially to differentiate the official characters from the fan made ones, am I right? Well, I've been finding quite a few characters with that same exact gradient as the official characters'. I realize they are easy to come by (the gradients), but it annoys me to no end how people are doing this so that they're characters can look 'official', when all it does is confuse new or inexperience's members.

Maybe I'm overreacting, but I feel that it isn't right for fan made characters to be allowed to have those for their icons. It's confusing, it's irritating, and despite how creative or well put in the Balto or Spirit or ADGTH or whatever universe it is, it is NOT official. I'm not sure it's correct to report characters for this reason, though, as it may not seem a big deal to most people. Is it right to report them? I'd like opinions on this matter.

As long as they're not posting the fan character as official, they can use gradients if they want. They're just trying to be creative. I think you're over thinking it lol.

Copying the official characters can't exactly be warranted as "creative", though I may be over thinking it a bit. It just annoys me because I feel if they were meant to be used, they would have been put up for the world. The point of their existence in the characters' background icons is so that they are differentiated from any and all fan characters - so there is no confusion. Otherwise, they could have simply splashed a color there and said 'oh this is the official color'.
