AIC tiredly rapped her fingers against the window. It was raining, typical for Seattle. The last sunny day she remembered there being was..... Three weeks ago. She sighed and pulled her long light brown hair into a bun and looked back to the empty canvas. She'd lightly sketched out what would be a painting of a guitar. A guitar with tons of intricate designs that would probably make her head explode. But hey, she was getting paid alot by the person who wanted her to make this. She dabbed her paintbrush in black paint....

Her phone vibrated. AIC put the paintbrush in a cup of water and answered it. "Hey," she said boredly.
"Aren't you enthusiastic?" It was Staley, her boyfirend/fiance since forever. AIC rolled her eye.
"Oh yeah, you know me, I'm just a bundle of fun." She replied very sarcastically. "So what's up?"
"You know that record contract?" He asked in responce to her own question. AIC mmhmmed. "Well... I kinda have to stay in the recording studio... For awhile." He sighed, sounding equally bored.
"How long is awhile?" AIC asked, putting the phone on her shoulder and picking up the paintbrush.
"I don't know! Probably late tonight," Staley said sounding very stressed out. "Or even tomorrow." He groaned sounding irate. AIC laughed, then looked at the paintbrush. It had a tiny dab of black paint, and that was all the black paint to be had. Looking at her other paints nearby, she could see they were running on basically empty too.
"Well, you have fun with that. I have to go on an art supplies run." AIC said, then hung up. She grabbed her coat, put her boots on and walked outside to her dark blue car.

AIC felt her phone vibrate, she pulled the BlackBerry out of her pocket. A name that she hadn't seen/heard from in a long time flashed across the screen. She put down the paintbrush she was holding in her opposite hand and grabbed the phone with both hands.

What are you doing?

AIC thought for a moment, about what she could put.

Nothing. Just painting and waiting for Staley to call me back. Why, what's up?

She read it over then pressed send, sighed, and took a swig from a bottle of orange soda. She walked into the kitchen and looked for something to eat.

AIC's phone vibrated again, and she walked over to it. She made a mental note to tell Staley that Katie and Justin said hello. She'd reply after she was done left over chinese food.

The phone vibrated again,and she pulled it towards herself.
Oh yeah AIC, I forgot to ask- can you and Staley come to my wedding? It's in Seattle.

AIC widened her eyes. A wedding? Holy crap! She grabbed the phone immeadiately.
Wow! So you and Justin are getting married? That's great! She hit send, then facepalmed, realizing that she still had more to say.
I think we can come... I mean, I'm not certain as far as Staley goes. (He finally got a recording contract, so he's not around much. >:C) But I'm fairly certain I can come. AIC accidentally hit send. Ahaahha.... Sorry for all these messages. I got a new phone and all.. But when is it? (Date?) AIC hit send and then went backt o her dinner.

AIC read the text message Katie had just sent. Instead of replying to her text she texted Staley.

Are you doing anything on May 10th? (Recording wise?)
-.... Not that I know of?-
Mmkay. So you aren't? X'D
-I don't know yet! Why?
Because we were just invited to a wedding.
-Whose?-
Katie and Justin's. And it's here. IN SEATTLE. So we don't even have to go far.
-Awesome. ^^ It's cool that they're getting married. They seemed like a good couple.-
Yeah. So... We're going?
-Yeeeaaaah. X3-
Mmkay. Oh, and they say congrats and hi.
-:'D I feel so loved.-

AIC sighed and stopped texting Staley. She replied to Katie...
X'D Cool! Well, we'll be there. Maybe you wanna hang out with us for a couple days/day before the wedding? US girls could go shopping and the guys.... They could do whatever it is that they do. XDD AIC almost put her phone down, then grabbed it again. She texted Staley.

When are we going to get married?
-Wait... What?-
STALEY BELLEVUE. Marriage. When?
-ALICIA ISIS CHAINE. We're engaged. I dunno.-
Appft.
-Don't "appft" me, young lady. >:(-
You're an ooooold man.
-I'm twenty one years young.-
Nineteen.
-Well we better go out and get married right now. I mean, our bones are brittle and our hair is falling out.
No, you know what I mean.
-Mmhmm. But you know we'll get married. Eventually. Just not now.-
Oh... Okay.


AIC put her cell phone away and went to go watch TV. What Staley had said didn't bother her, they'd had this discussion many times. It was just that AIC honestly wondered if they'd ever get married.

AIC quickly skimmed over what Katie had replied.

Of course I'll be one of your bridesmaids! This really is an honor. ^^ Thank you sooo much. Seeya when I seeya.

AIC still held the phone in her hands.

STALEY. Y U NO COME HOME? She typed. Then, a door opened and she heard Staley's ringtone. She laughed awkwardly when he came over and sat next to her- reading the text message.

"Clingy, much?" He asked giving a sly smile that was pretty much famous for him. AIC rolled her eyes.
"So, how was your day?" AIC replied flatly.
"Crappy. Every five seconds the manager would be all like 'Nooo. Do THIS! Sing HIGHER! Change them lyrics so it's less elequent!' And the entire time I was just like 'really? You think you can tell me what to do? I CAN'T sing higher. Nothing ELSE rhyme with the lyrics already in place.' It was just stupid." Staley said, sighing. He put his head on AIC's shoulder and said nothing.
"That manager sound like a peice of work." AIC said, snickering a little.
"He IS!" Staley groaned irately.
"Why don't you fire him, Mr.High-and-Mighty-Rockstar?" AIC teased, laughing a little. Staley didn't say anything and he didn't move. For a long time.
"Hnnn. I don't have enough money to hire another one." He muttered, sounding ticked off about that fact.
"Do I need to kick his butt for you?" AIC asked seriously. Staley started laughing, and AIC joined in.
"No... That's not necessary. Thank you for your concern though!" Staley managed to get through fits of laughter. He sat up and abruptly stopped laughing. "So... May 10th?" He asked raising an eyebrow. AIC nodded. "Mmkay." He nodded.
"Mmhmm. When are we getting married though?" AIC asked tiredly. Staley stared at her for a few seconds.
"Whenever." He replied simply. AIC raised her eyebrows. "I mean, sure there's alot of planning and stuff, so that'll take awhile, I'm sure. And the dresses and tuxedos. It'll come together though," he said more thoughtfully.
"Our parents will be proud," AIC snickered. Staley smirked.
"Your parents scare me." He said turning to face her. "I thought your dad was going to kill me when we told them we were engaged."
"Well, that's what you get for proposing to a then-seventeen year old!" AIC laughed, smacking him playfully.
