I've been seeing more and more thieves who color linearts from AS and post them to their Deviantart gallery claiming as their own work. Since there is no topic/section for any alerts about those, I'll post what I found. Feel free to create a new section and move this topic.

This person has colored linearts, recolored graphics(that are not linearts :/) and even recolored artwork from TLKS and BS.

Well, there's nothing anyone here on AS can do about it, though I understand the frustration. The only thing you can do is report them. They aren't suppose to submit renders and such to dA anyway.

You are wrong saying anyone here can do anything. There are people who have Deviantart accounts as well. This topic was created as a notice for all the people whose images were stolen, so they can deal the thief themselves/help others deal with the thief and discuss the case.

The account I posted was closed, but I still suggest to leave this topic (and move it somewhere else) for further theft alerts.

I meant 'do anything' by anything other than reporting, like the mods here could have instantly done in the case.

I've caught several people stealing my graphics and putting them up on DA a few times. I report them but DA says since I don't hold copyright to the original Balto images that I have no right to report and they won't remove it. That I kinda understand. It's frustrating, but they're right.

However they've even refused to remove stolen artwork I drew from scratch, they told me I'd have to file a DMCA (AKA legal papers) with DA before they'd do anything.

DA is horrible about art theft because they hate doing work. Plain and simple. That said, I still appreciate PM alerts when someone steals my work. Thanks to those who have tipped me off.

Really? I've never gotten such a message when reporting my stolen art. It's always been taking down. As long as you are the original artist, they have to take it down.

A lot of artwork and renders stolen and recolored. I already reported this person for vandalising my own artwork, but I can recognize Cat's and Wolf Prince's(?) drawings too.

Wow. She's even trying to get away with tracing over a lineart she USED and saying it's hers. The stupidity...It's painful.

What an interesting individual that one is. And that friend she's associated with, that Jonathan432 and his Wings of Change group...UGH.

Sadly, I believe this is at epidemic level on the net, as these kids don't seem to care that what they are doing is wrong, and I don't happen to believe they either are clueless about it, sorry when caught or thnk that they don't have a right to do exactly what they keep doing.

But that sure is typical of dA to drag their feet and deny responsibility for fixing it. Their moderators and staff are incompetent buffoons.

I know the one belongs to Cat, though the Balto blanks I'm not entirely sure.

I've reported the one belonging to Cat, and the Balto blanks, I wasn't sure either...

It doesn't matter on the blanks, seeing as they're property of Universal Studios you don't need the name of the person who made them into blanks.
Just report them for theft anyway and cite Universal Studios as the owner (which it is anyway, they just didn't make it blank. xD)

Although don't expect a great response. |:
I reported someone for uploading a ton of movie screenshots without even being edited ages ago and still don't have a reply and the images are still there.
