When Simba realises that Scar killed Mufasa, he pins Scar down. Then, three random lionesses give a sort of a shocked expression. (sorry I don't have a picture). I personally think that they were scared for Scar's safety. Who do you think they are?

I doubt they were his 'supporters' (followers is probably a better word for them). They'd spent however long under the impression that Mufasa was killed trying to save Simba - at which time the prince had been killed as well. They believed Scar and followed him as the new king. When the truth came out it would be enough to shock them. It doesn't mean that they were afraid for Scar's safety.

I don't think the pridelanders "supported" Scar, but they did what he asked and didn't really challenge him. They were scared for their own safety.

Picture this, your beloved king had died trying to save his son, who also died, and the guy's brother, the one you had trusted for so long as someone who you thought had tried to help them suddenly turns out to be the murderer of the guy. Wouldn't you think at least a few people would be kind of gob smacked?

Action is reaction.

All of the Pridelanders were led to believe all those years that Mufasa (and Simba, which they found out before this certain scene) was killed in a freak accident. They were shocked when Simba admitted to killing Mufasa back when he was talking to Scar, and they reacted to being shocked again when Simba screams "Murderer!" at Scar when pinning him down. There was not support, but simply a reaction. You would react in that sense too.

I personally think that they were shocked because of Simba jumping up so quickly and pinning Scar down. Because, all of them saw that Simba was about to fall down, and they thought that there was no way he could possibly just jump up like that. Well, the "murderer" part also did it's job.
