Once again Google has proven that they hate the idea of simplicity (tried managing a page on Google+). I guess we'll just have to get used to it.

You can change your channel back to the way it was for now. There's an option for it. Who knows when the option will disappear though. I remember when the beta channels were also an option but eventually everyone had to change it.

I know that, but it wasn't working a bit ago. I know they will force it. -_-

...my video thumbnail doesn't REALLY look like that, does it? O.o

I don't know, maybe it's just the browser. On Opera, it still looks just the same; but on Firefox for example it's all different. Haven't tried others.

Try clearing the cookies on the others.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame Google, as I'm sure a new interface would have been many months in the making. Although it probably would be moreso their influence, as YouTube videos also now show up in the videos search (finally)

I would. Youtube has remained relatively the same until google began to come into the picture. Youtube's had the star rating option for who knows how many years and then google comes in and helps change it into a like and dislike button? And then the whole interface changes as well. Not to mention the style is confusing, and it is a lot like google plus...

Vimeo isn't much better than youtube. It's interface is similar, it's slightly harder to navigate, and the videos there load slower than on youtube. It's a good suggestion, though.
