I noted that within a matter of a couple of days (at most) since the creation of "How To Train Your Dragon" Source, there was a forum board for it. The same for "Jungle Book" Source. Most of the other sources, sooner or later, had boards. But as yet, there is STILL no board for "Fox and the Hound" Source. Anyone on staff care to enlighten the rest of us as to why that is? Because I think it's about time a board was created for it.

As far as I know, that's something Steet now has to add. If mods could do so we would have it up.

If we can though, I have no idea how to based on our options in the forum mod panel.

That is a fair answer.

I just wish steet would devote as much attention to a source which has already been out for nearly a month (at least) as he has for two more recent sources. Sheesh.

Well, Rio source didn´t have it´s own forum section for a long time after it´s opening either. It´s been about 2 or 3 months (or maybe even a little more) until I talked to steet about thatin the Talespin shout box. 5 minutes later RS had it´s own forum part.

So I suggest you to talk to steet about it, I think he´ll add it as soon as he knows it´s missing.

A commendable suggestion. Unfortunately, I seldom get very far addressing a variety of matters to steet.

Well, best chances to reach steet his to talk to him when he is in the TS shout box. He never happened to ignore me when adressing site-related things, yet. PMs and such can take a long time, very long.

It runs rather deeper than that in my case, I'm afraid. I've tried in the TS shoutbox too. I rarely get much in response.

But again, thanks for the suggestion, Jordan. I do appreciate your desire to help!

The fact that it takes less than 30 seconds (depending on internet bandwidth, that is) to set up a forum and clone permissions from another board suggests that he's totally forgotten about it?

Remember this is the guy that claimed because he "had a life" couldn't even take time to fix problems that needed immediate/quick attention.

---

But yes, this IS very annoying. It takes like 30 seconds? You can't tell me he didn't have 30 seconds to hop over and do that after he activated the main hub for the source. Cats Don't Dance Source has been up for a while and still doesn't have a forum for it. -.-

Very, very, very well-said, Tibbster. Image

More than likely it just needs to be brought to his attention. With all the stuff he has to keep track of, it's understandable if a forum for two or three Sources goes unnoticed.

Uh huh. Maybe.

But that forum for "How To Train..." certainly didn't go unnoticed, hm?

And now, before this blows the heck up over some ridiculous misunderstanding or unnecessary posturing, I have no axe to grind with the newest source. But my earlier point stands, and it seems a fair amount of people think likewise. I don't happen to believe it has anything whatsoever to do with it slipping his mind, as implied in the quote.

The point is considered null, as now all the Sources have forums. And yes, Steet said it DID slip his mind.

I'd like to request this topic be locked.

The point was well-considered, and fairly posted. Saying that it is "considered null" is patently dismissive, and rather rude.

I also still say that it is rather interesting that some forum entries seem to "slip his mind", while others go up in a heartbeat. Do I want to make an argument out of this? Do I want to turn it into a smackdown on steet by anyone who has issues with him? No. Is that going to stop me from stating my opinion? No.

Is a topic lock justified because of contrary opinions which offer legitimate rants you don't happen to like, or which you view as inconvenient? Uh uh. In fact, the way I see it, that smacks of the kind of heavy-handed approach to board management which I thought we were going to be free of after the sweeping away of the old staff.

I suppose my hopes may have been in vane.

Since all of the sources now have their own forums, this can be locked.
