Often he is seen as a stuck-up jerk and a bully. I don't think so entirly, too me he's a kid who got overexcited by Bullethead and would have had the same view on Oscar as I would, a rich upper-class snob who exploits everybody below him both for being rich but also a total walking disater (which he was) that was unable too do things right.
In the two episodes he's in he comes off well in the end and redeems himself well and makes up for it and too me seems like any ordinery 12-13 year-old boy.

Well that was for the needs of the scenario, he had to be "mean" so that Kit would have a reason to involve Oscar. You'll notice that in the graphical novel that I posted recently, they totally changed Ernie's attitude towards Oscar...(and to me, that doesn't work as well as in the episode)

The series shows him at his worst and people often find it easyier too see that then the good side.

You could easily say the same thing for Rebecca...(which unfortunately, many people were quick to conclusions about her)

I agree since he is still a boy and besides it is all boy club. I don't see little girls or sissies there. I wonder why Molly doesn't belong in a girl's club. Oscar couldn't join because he didn't have an adventure, not because he was a walking disaster. There aren't many members in the club, remember. It is like joining any club who have to meet the critique like Feminine air only allowed female pilots.
