You all know that when you want to use someone else´s character in fanarts etc you have to click that little "Ask for permission" link on the character´s page. Fine, fine.

The you use that character for a request/trade whatever and you know you are most likely not going to use that character anymore. But it will stay on your "Alloed to use" list until the owner of the character removes you from the permissions (or the character gets deactivated/deleted)

So if you are using a lot of other people´s characters you end up with an incredibly long list. So when you want to find a certain character you have to go through all that. Sure you can PM the character´s owner to remove you from the permissions but, let me explain a bit.

Or an other case, you used someone´s character and the owner deleted his/her account, in that case there is noone to remove you. (Maybe the mods but PMing a mod to remove you from a character everytime you don´t need the permission anymore would get kinda annoying for both you and the moderator. And imagine how many of these PMs they´ll get... But okay, I don´t even know if they can do that.

Anyways, to the point of this topic,

I was thinking that a link/button/whatever that allows you to remove yourself from a characters permissions list would be quite handy. So like it will appears where the "Ask for permission..." link is after the owner gave you permission to use the character. So when doing a trade or request you can get permission, send your picture, link the character to it and once the picture is activated you can remove yourself from the permissions list in order to keep your "Allowed to use" list clean with characters you plan to use again only.

I think this would be a useful new feature, mostly for members who work with a lot of characters owned by other people. What do you think?

I agree with this completely. I have a couple characters myself that I want to remove my permissions from.

Anyone else? I´d like to collect a few more opinions before suggesting it to steet.

Hey, I'm all for this--even though it's a non-issue for me. It still makes plenty of sense. I'm backing this up 100%.

Gonna have to agree with this. I thought this would have been a given from the start. It's a bit like having a computer that you can't turn off.

Even though (like Skul) this is really a non-issue, I can't believe it's not already built-in.
