Riley Gillmore (Age -21ish) has gotten the opportunity to go to college in London, England. But when her fund money dissapears suddenly, she gets in trouble with the law and leaves the city only to find herself involved with old time friend Arthur and his family. When tempers clash will love over come? Or will they end up as enimies for life?

Arthur tapped his pen annoyingly on the desk, struggling to concentrate on his essay. Summer break started tomorrow, this was his last assignment. Alfred, his goofy american friend, was playing taylor swift music on full blast in one of the guest rooms at Arthur's house. When Arthur got the news his friend would be staying with him for a year, for a foreign exchange student program, he wasn't overly excited; Alfred was loudm abnoxious and ate way too much. The brit sighed and rolled his eyes.
"She wears short skirts i wear t-shirts she's cheer captain and im on the bleeeachers!!" He heard Alfred singing loudly and he groaned. Luckily, his mother wasn't coming over for dinner until six, and it was only four.
"Alfred, da**it! Keep it down im trying to work!" The britishman barked over the music before Alfred paused the song. He frowned, and walked over to his friend.
"Common Iggy, don't be a wet blanket Dude!" He whined, slinging an arm over Arthur's shouler. With a blush creeping across his face, Arthur frowned and slipped out from under Alfred's arm.
"Funny, now i will have none of that nonsense in my house mister." He said, waggling his finger at Alfred, who frowned again. Rain slowly began to patter on the window and Alfred groaned.
"Does it ever stop raining here?" He asked. Arthur only laughed.

My hair was drenched by the time I got into the cabby. It had taken a good 20 minuets to lug my one suit case from my dorm and into the street (not to mention the cab driver wasn't much help.) I looked at my pale fingers as I got into the car and the cab driver, a tall man somewhere in his mid 50's, gave me a yellow-teeth grin and said "Where are yee' off ta'?" That improper English accent that almost everyone had, I thought for a moment, thinking of the address that I'd gotten so long ago. I told the man the address and he looked at my wide eyes "What's wrong?" I asked, he smiled again, Goodness! Does EVERYONE in this country have bad teeth?! I though sourly "You're from America aren’t you?!" He chuckled "Yup" I said, looking at my feet embarrassed "So what's it like in the US?" He asked beginning to drive "Warm, dry, hot" I chuckled, he did also. I looked out the window in thought and pulled out my IPod, my taste in music had changed drastically since I was a 15 year old girl. I was now listening to easy rock, no more Scream-o and Death Punk for this girl.

After finally finishing my essay, I had drug Alfred downstairs for some tea (and coffee). We were sitting quietly, listening to the rain pour down on the roof. Alfred kept grinning at me, for some odd reason.
"What is with you today you yank?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows. Alfred reached over and ran his index finger over my right eyebrow.
"They are so fuzzy." He commented and i sighed.
"Do you watch me in my sleep and pet my 'brows?" I demand, i'd dreamed that before. Alfred laughed.
"Not anymore, that'd be too wierd dude, only once." He said and i slammed my head down on the tale, nearly spilling my tea. It was going to be a long year.

Turns out the cab driver's name was Sandy. "Isn't Sandy a girl name?" I asked curiously "Not in England it's not!" He chuckled, I had a feeling he was lying to me so I just nodded "Fair enough" I muttered "Besides," He said "ain't Riley a lads' name?" I blushed and nodded "Yeah, as you can tell, my parents wanted a boy" I had a lot of fun in that cab. Sandy was a good man. Time flew, and before I knew it 2 hours had passed. I shook my head, unbelieving that time could go so quickly. Secretly, I had been dreading this moment, I hesitated to get out of the car "Hey, what's wrong Lasy?" Sandy asked, "I haven't seen this guy in..." I counted my fingers "8 or so years, he probably doesn't even remember me" I said, my voice dark but a fake smile on my face "Aw, c'mon Las, who could forget a pretty face like yours?" Sandy comforted, I smiled and got out of the car. Sandy helped me with my bag this time so I didn't get all that wet. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

Alfred was in the middle of telling me a horrid joke, when a slight knock on the door interrupted him. Thank the queen.. I thought, then smiling sheepishly.
"I'm going to go get that. Stay put Alfie." I ordered, and Alfred mock saluted me. Rolling my eyes, i crossed the living room and into the kitchen, then up to the front door. I opened the door and gasp quietly when i saw who it was.
"Oh my god..Riley?" I asked quietly, putting my hands on my hips. Riley had grown, from when i last remember. So had i, but she was still a bit taller.

I was overjoyed when he remembered me, that hopefully meant I could stay a while "Yeah, help a girl out? I don't really have any connections here and since the semester ended I don't have any place to stay" I said in a small voice, I knew it was extremely rude of me to just invite myself if, but I didn't have a choice, I stood there in the rain. Arthur had grown some, but I was still probably about a half inch taller than him. We were both short, I hated being short, it upset me so much. Being short meant I could never be a model, not that I wanted to be one, but that fact still annoyed me.

Arthur eyed the bags in her hands and sighed.
"Oh, no please come in, you'll get sick as a dog out there." He said, grabbing her luggage and tuggin it in. Once Riley was inside, he shut the door. "So..Why did you come to Engl~" He began before Alfred came walking in.
"Dude, you can't expect me to sit still staring at nothing while you're in here talking to some mysterious...person...WHO IS RILEY!" Alfred squeaked, grabbing Riley and pulling her into a giant bear hug. Alfred was still probably a foot taller than both of them, but Arthur hadhim beat in endurance and he used to be stronger. Alfred had gotten super strong over the previous summer, though he looked very skinny and lanky. The American grinned excitedly, seeing Riley's bags.
"Iggy! You didn't tell me Ril was commin'! Dude, unfaaaair." He said, crossing his arms over his chest and pouting.
"Thats because i didn't really...know." He said, putting down Riley's bags and rubbed that back of his neck, embaressed.

I laughed as Alfred embraced me and finally was able to pry myself out of his grasp "I got accepted into Chelsea College of Arts and Design," I said answering Arthur's first question "and my mom wouldn't fly me home for the summer so I was out of a place to stay, I'm sorry for being so rude! I lost your number a while back, and by some miracle I remembered you address" I laughed awkwardly and rubbed my shoulder "So here I am, kinda' just out of a home and stuff" I concluded looking at my wet sneakers.

Arthur nodded, smiling. He'd been taught by Alfred to smile more, though he only did to people he liked as a friend and such.
"Of course, stay here as long as ya' like." He said, then glancing at Riley's shoes.
"You can just leave those in the closet over there," He said, pointing to two fold out doors. Alfred grinned and picked up Riley's bags.
"Shall we put her in the second guest room Artie?" Alfred asked, mocking his friend's british accent. Arthur scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"A reminder, here you are the one with the odd accent. And Yes, Riley follow me." He said, begining to walk upstairs.

I nodded and fallowed Arthur "I seriously can NOT thank you enough!" I said, my old 'apologizes to everyone for everything' habit kicking in "It was sooo uncalled for that I just showed up, i'm so sorry, what I did wasn't right and I'll make it up to you somehow..." I'm not sure why I always said I was sorry to everyone, some said it was annoying, others didn't much mind "...I can help clean the house or something!" I decided still fallowing Arthur.

Arthur and Alfred laughed.
"Hah. You haven't changed a bit Rilz," Alfred grinned, punching her shoulder lightly with his free hand. Arthur smirked.
"Riley, I have a maid who cleans the house. You don't need to give me anything, it's fine." He said then paused.
"Wait..give him your phone number in case Scott decides to take him out to the pub this week again." Alfred whispered and Arthur elbowed him.
"I'm not going to get that drunk again Alfred you moron," Arthur said wit a huff, opening the door to the empty room.
"Anyways, here we are." He said, flicking the lights on. Arthur nearly had a heart attack when he saw a large wolf-like dog on the loveseat in the room.
"ALFRED! What did i tell you!? Keep your dumb dog off the furniture!" He barked, and the dog looked up.
"Aw! Fine, common Shay..." The american grumbled, and the German shepherd lab mix woofed. She trotted over, wagging her large tail.

I laughed a bit as Alfred joked about me, then I heard something about Arthur going to a pub "Oh my God, a drunk Arthur? I HAVE to see that!" I laughed bitting my lower lip and smiling. I looked around inside the room and smiled even wider "Thanks so much!" I said, hugging both of them tightly. I looked around the room, nodding and smiling This is so much bigger than the dorm! I thought happily.

Arthur glared and laughed a little.
"Hah, yeah you so have to!! He get's all emotional and will totally do anything you say!" Alfred grinned widely, petting Shay's head. Arthur groaned.
"Alright i think she gets it Alfred." He growled. "No problem, seriously Riley. Annytime." He said, winking.
Alfred leaned in close to Riley.
"Here's scott's number, just say Arthur wants to go out for a drink tomorrow night, call late like 11:00 ish." He whispered, shoving a piece of paper in Riley's pocket.

((Ooc: I'm gonna make Riley have a memorie of Arthur and Alfred, so I'll have to use them, if that's all right, i'll edit it if it's not.))

I felt my cheeks flush red as Arthur winked at me, and I laughed as Alfred pushed a number into my pocket. It was like Sophmore year at high school all over agian. I had a huge crush on Arthur in high school, up until he had to go back to England and that completly crushed me. The memorie was all to clear...

We were at the air-port, me and Alfred insisting on going. Arthur sighed "Well, this is it, I'll see you two someday again...I hope" I'd heard him mutter. Alfred had been crying all the way over, and I might've too, but that wasn't like me, not then anyways. When I was younger I never showed any kind of emotion towards anyone. "Dude, i'm gonna' miss you so much!" Alfred sobbed bringing Arthur into a tight bear hug "I'll miss you too...but c-can you l-et me breathe!" Arthur growled, a bit annoyed. Alfred laughed sadly and gave him one last hug. Arthur then looked at me and gave that smirk that I had fallen in love with "I guess this is- oof!" I crashed into him, my arms wrapped tightly around his neck "Keep in touch" I muttered, feeling a tear work it's way down my cheek and messing my eye liner up. I didn't know if Arthur had ever felt anything for me, but I knew i'd fallen for him even more that day. Me and Alfred linked hands as we watched Arthur walk onto that plane, later we'd cried into one and other's shoulders. Missing the boy we loved...

I blinked at the memorie and snorted. "So what are your guys's plans for tonight?" I asked, stuffing my hand in my pocket and feeling the paper inside.
