:!: Before I begin, I just want to say that I'm not trying to steal the other thread about Simba's Singing. But that thread got me thinking about this scene in the movie and I wanted to share it without changing the subject on that thread. So to who started that thread I'm not trying to steal your idea and I hope I'm not flooding or anything like that, I just wanted to point this out.


So I found out some time ago that in TLK there was a song that was cut out called The Morning Report. Do you recall in the original movie at the begining when Zazu was checking in with the morning report while Simba was trying to pounce? Well apparently Zazu was supposed to be singing it (and not too bad ethier). and I noticed that when Simba sings the the chorus at the end that his voice sounded different kinda like a girl.(that's the part I was talking about at the top)

After watching the full video I assumed that it wasn't from the original movie and that maybe the song was created when working on a new special edition DVD or VHS and just never used it? Because it was in pretty nice quality and Jonathan Tayler Thomas is all grown up now and probably can't sing the way he did when he was a kid so I'm thinking that it came out recently. But I don't know, like the first few seconds Simba sounded like a dude but then if you listen really close you can kinda hear an older girl, maybe teenager? I'll try posting a link of the video on here though I'm not very good.

This song is in the platinum edition DVD. A boy, Evan Saucedo, is Simba's singing voice. Girls' and boys' singing voices are very difficult to tell apart sometimes because before the boy's voice breaks their singing registers largely overlap. However, it is a boy singing, even if it sounds a little like a girl.

I agree, I like the song too, a lot of the fandom doesn't seem to care for it. Whenever Zazu sings "Saffron is this season's colours seen in all the herd!" I just burst out laughing!
